Not that surprising...

We should be very happy with Max's inclusion though. Finally.

Hope he gets into the Back Pocket or something. Surely.

Yep Stinger - would've thought Milne was the standout small forward this year - 54 goals!! sheesh..

Motlop 57 in a bottom 4 side.

Remember Milne got dropped to Casey through the year, I wonder how many AA players have played 2's.

I think only roo will make the final team, but i think fisher deserves too as well.

as good as Lenny has been there are too many mids ahead of him.

Max has been excellent but scarlett should get the nod.

Come one guys, I love Milney but he would be behind:
Johnson, Murphy, O'Keefe, Akermanis, Medhurst, Didak, Motlop as an All-Australian choice. Forwards are there to do more than kick goals.

Where can I find the full squad?

Still think Rooy will be the only person in though I am starting to think Chips is a good chance.

Err.. Johnson is full forward, Murphy is CHF, O'Keefe is HFF, Acker has kicked how many??, Medhurst has had a fair year - but how many goals??, Didak is in disgrace, Motlop has been good - so could be a chance there.

Why would Milne be behind all of those players? How many have kicked 50 goals this season, or 300 in their career?

So Didak will not get in because he was suspended for being in a car. Well that makes sense.

Didak's last few weeks haven't been very good.

Because there is more to being a forward than kicking goals. Why would Bradshaw be behind Riewoldt when Bradshaw's kicked more goals?

Johnson, and it was of course Steve I referred to (missed out Chapman too btw) for instance is top 5 in the comp in goal assists. How many does Milne have? How many games has Milney won off his own boot? How many times has he been in our best? Less than Murphy and O'Keefe (who both play HFF/FP to Johnson/Minson/Hahn and Hall/O'Loughlin/Goodes btw so will compete for the same spots) and the pthers i mentioned (except maybe Aker). Milney's influence on games over the course of the season has been less than all those players except maybe Aker.

I reckon Milney's a bit stiff not not be in the squad. Maybe lack of consistency is a factor there.
Haven't seen the squad but others in contention for a smaller forward role IMO would be :
Aker ( 44 goals, averaging 18 disposals per game)
Brad Johnson ( 47 goals, 18 disposals)
Motlop ( 57 goals from 220 disposals, very efficient when he gets it)
Steve Johnson ( 49 goals, 20 disposals)
Medhurst ( 48 goals, 15.7 disposals)

I suppose it depends on the balance of the forward line as to whether you could fit more than one of them in.
Franklin and Fev would surely be walk up starts for CHF and FF. Maybe Roo and Pavlich on HFF's given their ability to run and play further up the ground.
That only leaves two forward spots, one of which might be taken by a mid.

Think Roo will be our only one in the final team. Also think he'll be named captain.

i think chips and roo are huge chances to be included, but remember the all-australian has never been known to actually include the best 22! fantastic to see maxy there, you would have to think he is a massive chance, considering he has had a great year, and kept both fev and buddy to under 5 goals combined in three matches!!!

he should have been in there 2004 (maybe 05?) when he did his hammy about two weeks out, so it would be justice if he got in here!

can anyone else point to a small forward in the competition that averages 2 goals per game?

medhurst's best year in his career is behind milne's average year.
