We can beat Geelong!

Post: # 631993Post perfectionist »

There are 22 reasons.

Here are twelve excellent reasons:

1. Nick Riewoldt
2. Lenny Hayes
3. Steven Milne
4. Luke Ball
5. Kosi
6. Steven King
7. Brendon Goddard
8. Nick Dal Santo
9. Jason Blake
10. Jason Gram
11. Sam Fisher and
12. Robert Harvey

There are another 6 good reasons as well. The last 4 will tell the tale - if they are average, we can win. It they are bad, we will pay the penalty. This is their moment!

One Kosi is the key in my opinion.

Absolutely! I think it is the best possible outcome to play the number one team first off. Especially after tonight's win and coming in with a full head of steam :D

Our mid field is the key
Plus our half back flanker like Goddard and Gram

Followed Saints since '71
Sir Robert Harvey was my favorite player
Stewie Lowe and Plugger before that.
Loved watching Rooey and Jack Steven
Now looking forward to the future

Of course we can, but it is going to be very, very difficult. Probably our toughest assignment in the past 4 years.

I feel that we're the only team who is prepared to stand up and have a red hot go at Geelong. A it's all important to consider the double chance that this great win has given the Saints. All the other clubs dropped their bundle, but not us :D :D :D :D

Agree. We can beat the Cats. Have the team to do it and are playing well enough to seriously challenge. Banger's send off season is great motivation too.

Will be watching the game live with a few frosties here in Auckland.
Hope the Cats a bit off their A game and we play out of our skins.

Hopefully Geelong turn up at their best and we tear them a new one! We beat them once this year(i know it was only the Candy cup) but if it bleeds, you can kill it!

Theres no doubt we'll come in with lots of confidence next sunday against the Cats. We've won 8 of the last 10, and have absolutely nothing to lose given the double chance. However, Geelong are a ruthless, brutal unit and we will get thrashed if we are off our game even by a little bit.

Its gunna be tough but weve got nothing to lose . Give it our best shot , if we dont win we still have a home final the following week. If we do by some twist of fate or whatever else happens & win then maybe we can repay the great man for his years of service. Lets hope so, but even to finish top 4 is a saintsational effort & I'm so damn proud of all of them to get this far.Well done boys

Firstly - holy shiznit.. i cant believe what i just saw  not in my wildest dreams did i think we could get that top 4 spot leading into round 22

I think it is great that there is literally 0 pressure on our boys in this game. However Geelong are so good it doesnt matter *sigh

But we can do it, we can beat any team on our day touchwood...positive footy is the way,tis why we won 8/10last games

Will be tough 1st up final. I'm hopeful, but only 30/70 at the moment.
I see it as "the final we had to have".

Expect a scrap. I don't think a shoot out will help us.

The lid is off after Round 2! Enjoy the journey, coz you just don't know where we'll end up. Live for today and seize the moment.

The main man is Moony..

shut him down and the mids keep at least equal we have a good chance of winning,,,,

Moony is the key IMP
