surely we'll be playing next sunday. the afl doesn't allow six-day breaks leading into finals does it?

Geelong plays fourth, probably North Melbourne.
If North Melbourne loses and Adelaide wins, then Adelaide.
If North Melbourne and Adelaide lose and St Kilda wins then St Kilda.
If all of North Melbourne, Adelaide and St Kilda lose and Sydney wins, then Sydney.
This game must be played at the MCG - Geelong have earnt it and probably two victorian clubs playing.
Hawthorn plays Footscray (I refuse to be bullied by marketeers to call them something else) must also be played at the MCG - two victorian clubs.
A win tomorrow guarantees St Kilda a spot from 4 to 6 and a "home" final.
The other final will be then be played interstate if either or both Adelaide and Sydney win or in Victoria if both lose.
If both lose that would mean Collingwood, the AFL would like to see that at MCG.
The upshot is a win tomorrow means not only a "home" final for St Kilda but almost guaranteed to be played at Telstra Dome.
