Raph.

perhaps it's because he has gotten full control over his epilepsy, been given backing and confidence by the coaching group?marksnsparks wrote:Since he came back Raph is like a different player complared to last year. What has changed?
Every time he got the ball last year I held my breath to see how he would mess up.
Great effort ATM. Great to see a kid on the way to fulfilling his potential.
Watch him improve as he gets used to the pace of the higher level and his confidence grows

Hopefully a good finish to this season by Raph and he'll go on to develop over the next two seasons in the same way BJ has developed over the past two.
BJ, another maligned by his own 'supporters' in his formative years.
If Raph can continue his development, along with Gilbo, then we'll have some very handy tall running players in Sam Fisher, BJ, Gilbo and Raph who can slot in at eiher end as well as rotate through the middle when required.

Just like to send a cheerio to the 2 women who sat behind me at the dome yesterday.
They fall into the "no understanding of how the game is played basket"
Every time Raph got the ball it was a "gees he's awful" all day.
At one stage Raph competed at ground level against 4 crows, kept persisting laid a heap of tackles but eventually a crows player punched it off the ground and they got the ball as a result.
This was followed by a "your s*** raph"
Same as when he took 2 bounces and delivered a lace out pass to Joey who dropped a sitter. "Your s*** raph"
I wonder why some people even go to games.

so..... trade bait it is!linz wrote:Mentioned in an earlier post that his recent good form will see a contract renewal or recent good form will result in possible positive trade-bait material. Fact is he's signed up for next year already.
All posters are equal, but some posters are more equal than others.

Another angle on Raph. We all know he was diagnosed with epilepsy in March this year. I am wondering how long this went un-noticed prior to that? What effect it had on him without him or anyone else noticing that all was not what it should be? Has his recent form co-incided with everything settling down re his medication? Let's all hope that Raph has come through all this and is able to show us all exactly how good he can be.
Now I'm no neurologist but I have a feeling that Raph might go a long way towards proving Grant Thomas correct when he said that Raph had the potential to be AA one day. Geez, I hope so !!
