Kudo's to the Western Saints
Was watching the match on Foxtel Live, in my favourite mode (Umpire and ground FX, no commentary), and the Saints chanting and cheering came through quite clearly. The roar for some of the Saints goals was louder than for some of the Shocker ones.
Well done over there Guys for your support of the team. Makes playing interstate a lot easier for the players.

Yeah, well done guys. We could definitely hear you chanting and cheering(and booing Farmer) all day.
"...If there has been one recurring theme through this whole shocking mess, it has been the misguided, inflated egos and their ill-judged determination to cling to long-standing old boy friendships. The bad advice that has guided the selfish and culpable James Hird has not only punctuated this saga but symbolised it..."

Wishing I had decided to get down there. You guys did a really good job. Managed to get down there at the end in time to see the players come over though, so that was pretty good.saintdooley wrote:was awesome

saintdooley....the noise doesn't rebound off the stands at ground level behind the goals....that's why the cheer squad group appear to make little impact at Subi at ground level behind the goals. Just like players....you have to know how to work/play the ground you are at.
I opted for a seat at ground level behind goals where cheer squad sat for the West Coast Eagles match. Hated it ..... pure lack of emotion or noise was able to be generated from those at ground level seats. Only noise for that disasterous match came from the Western Saints mob in the upper level behind the goals. Gee I missed being up their with them for that match.
Also it's shocking vision at Subi at ground level behind the goals either end (except when play is in forward half you are sitting near). It's because of the lie of the ground you cannot see down onto the paddock and see the flow of the play and set ups around the ground as you can when you are elevated.
Nah you won't get many of us wanting to sit at ground level for a whole match at Subi.... miss too much action.....play and supporter action.
I think all we would prefer would be that our allocation of seats were in the upper level down at the Subi goal end. Then we wouldn't have to look into that blazing sun all match and that hazard would be reserved for Eagles & Dockers members for a change
For a night match when the sun is down we have the best seats in the house. Maybe the club could opt for more night matches at Subi in recognition of the effort we Western Saints put into the club year in year out. Then you will really hear us roar. It's hard enough when we are outnumbered by often 35,000 plus supporters from the shockers and e-girls, but it's that bleeding sun that causes us the most grief
Glad it was a happier trip for you to the West this match young dools ........ thanks for coming to help swell the numbers
By the way did you hear and like our "Walking in the Harvey Wonderland" song?
