I am a melbourne based supporter who attends pretty much every game over here and I would love to be able to sign one of these.

I was going to sign it at a forum match late last year but we all forgot after the game.

Any help on when and where would be fantastic.

Cheers to gazrat, roger and co for all your organisation with this.

snoops

yr the lucky holder of flag # 3

looks like its yr gig to get it filled

social club for the freo game ?

i have two flags up here ...filled with signatures from wa , sa and nsw

much thanx to rogerwa......the mans got passion

the vision was

4 flags (1760mm x 900mm)...........sewn around a black cross (450mm wide) with #35 (in white) sewn into the centre of the black cross

makes a pretty big flag ....nearly 4 metres long by 2.2 metres high

then it was going to be unfurled at the first game after bangers final year ....................responsibility for making that happen is dan warna's

but first we gotta get the thing finished

issue one ...........the fourth flag

issue two ............ getting it sewn up

as four of my mates on here know .........and one who i was buying a piece of memorabilia off must have figured out ........gazrats emotional and financial world has taken an 180 degree turn to its former direction, over 2008

point a .....i can't even buy the fourth flag

point b .....haven't had time to contact the club about getting players, officials , staff and friends to sign the fourth one.....

(the plan was ....because its the fourth flag thats 'valuable' .... as soon as the big bugger was sewn ..........it becomes the clubs property , in their safekeeping until its unfurled and then until its given to banger )

i'm so emotionally drained at the mo ......all my efforts are going to just staying upright ..............financially and physically

i need you guys to take this forward

i just cant do it

sorry

I'll be at The Dome next weekend for the Crows game.
Is there a pre-match/post-match get-together where I could sign a flag?

Don't know if you want to send it to Qld. We possibly won't get the last 2 games on TV, so getting signatures could be a challenge. Grand Final weekend could be a possibility (if we are not in it of course 8-) ). Will leave it up to you to decide. Or we will be down for the Essendon game, could sign it on behalf of the Qld supporters. Let me know.

Couple of questions on the flags

1) Snoopygirl, how much room does your flag have left for signing? ie: would it have room for several dozen signatures?

2) Has anyone organised the 4th flag and is it only for club officials and players?

3) Where were the flags purchased and are they are standard AFL issue? Could I get one at an AFL licences store (don't actually have an AFL store here)

What I'm thinking is that either the Snoopygirl flag or the 4th flag goes to the bus park at the TD next week to allow country supporters the opportunity to sign it at our end of season party.

I've already signed it in Perth last year and actually remembered that I have an incriminating photo of 'Sir' Roger, myself and a few others with one of the flags and if I know how to put it up here I would :?

Have our tassie Supporters and other parts of Australia had a chance to sign one.
I know we are running out of time but i think def the Tassie supporters should have an opportunity to sign one not saying for a mintue that the rest of you guys aren't as important but i just think that we have to do it properly and have repsentatives from everywhere in AUS and even some places overseas if possible.

the three flags already purchased came from the shop at the club

176 x 90 cm

the fourth flag needs to be purchased

not necessarily is it only for players and officials ....that was just the vision

although ,
some 225 teammates invited and will form guard of honour.
Harves will be in attendance in the Victory room after the game

sounds like 'oppurtunity knocking' to me

i did contact bev in june about getting a flag up there for their function ....but given time restraints at the actual function , it was decided not to go ahead

tassy , is/was a bit dissapointing for me ....my home state an all

launnysaint was prepped to recieve a flag ....but my life rolled over the top of that planning ....i didnt / couldnt make it happen ....sorry

4 flags signed by supporters has a lot going for it as well

but if someone has the contacts at the club .....to get the fourth flag signed by the '225' ...that would be speciaaaal !

OK - cannot locate a flag that large in Albury/Wodonga - anyone in or near Wangaratta want to phone the place in the main Street of Wangaratta (I can't remember what it's called) I'm 'happy' to pay but only if I can get it before the weekend
