Must make changes for this weeks do or die at SUBI

Post: # 619369Post saint patrick »

Last nights results [including Sydneys get out of jail :x ] has not only put top four out of the question but missing the finals altogether is now a depressingly realistic possiblity.

The thought of this in Harveys last year is unthinkable

The lackof grunt and pace inside cost us bigtime in terms of centre clearance and around stoppages....

We must go for broke now and make some significant changes next week on the wide expanses of Subi...

Depending on todays showing at Casey I want to see Jack Steven debut next week....need some youthful ethusiasm and pace desperately..

Also under serious consideration should be

Armitage[No Luke Ball yet but without Ball there we need his grunt inside]

Birss [Is underated still IMO.can play a defensive role but has the ability to kick goals on the rebound]

X.Clarke [need his class and speed through the middle desparately and can be another goal kicking option]

Charlie Gardiner[Seems to free up Roo as another lead up forward]

Players in danger of paying a hefty price for that unforgivable loss last night include.

Fiora,Dempster,Mcqualter,Gwilt......to name a few.

A loss last night has made the Freo Game absolutely critical....

Significant changes MUST be made to give the team the collective kick up the ar$e it deserves.

Nor should he. Dempster's the best option we've got for players like Farmer.

Agree - nor should he. Dempster has had a really good year. One average game last night - he had plenty of company. The other guys you mention and inclusions I;d probably go along with.

How about a change in attitude.

The problems we saw last night went deeper than being a few players short.

A change in our forward structure/approach wouldn't go astray either.

McQualter and Dempster have been doing jobs in the last fews game and doing well no way either should be dropped.

Geary has struggled not ready yet and i think Eddy could do with a spell,
but i think Dal needs to go again unless he was carrying an injury and Milne was laos missing in the first half. Gilbert must be close to being dropped he has been horrible for a month now.
