Joey & Dal...

Post: # 619249Post True Blue Sainter »

Haven't they gone downhill this year? Can count combined excellent games by the two on the one hand for the whole season. Disappointed in the both of them, particularly in their defensive efforts. Especially with Bally's absence, it was vital that these two stand up and be counted, and neither produced anything.

They bob up in games from the bottom teams, go missing in big games..

Dal has no interest.
Club has tried to help him but is not responding.

IMO Joey is the biggest disappointment,a player who I expected to take the next step, hasnt delivered except against lesser opposition, frontrunner, send him back to casey for a re fit
NDS,if he has been sick ,as has been suggested, why has he been playing?

I wouldn't be shattered if both of them are moved on at the end of the year.

As someone else mentioned Dal just doesn't seem to care & Joey is a straight up down hill skier.

Neither deserve to take the field beside Banger... Overrated and underperforming despite any excuses.

People who criticise Nick Dal Santo must have missed the last quarter last night. He almost won it off his own effort. Why can't he play like that all night? Because no one can - not even Chris Judd.

As for Leigh Montagna, he is (and always was) simply too small to be a leading mid fielder. Every team knows he is physically weak and so they put the strongest tagger on him to knock him about. This happened again last night.

He can't do much about his size (although if he lived in WA he could, without fear of detection, use steroids) but he can do something about his kicking for goal. I have never seen a player miss so many crucial running goals by one metre! In a good side, he would be a bit player - like he was in 2004 and 2005.
