Not in next week
King - does nothing. Cannot kick. Blake in ruck shows how badly he is going (no reflection on Blakey). Rarely plays 2nd half.
Dempster - slow of thought and body. Misses targets. Seems dozy. Poor mans Gram, supposed to be long kicking but can't.
Gilbert - field kicking atrocious.
Eddy - doesn't get it enough.
Geary - very slow too and just not getting it enough.
Birss (for Eddy), Gardiner (for King), L Fisher (for Dempster) plus others better options.
We also need a third tall forward and happy with Gardiner C (prefer Ferg but might be hurt but didn't seem Scorps team as in Alice Springs!).
Enough is enough!

Unfortunately we don't really seem to have the cattle to make any substantial changes. Birss in is compulsary, but the only other good inclusions all have question marks on them. X has disappeared off the face of the earth, Baker seems to be having more trouble with his knee while Miles and Ferguson can't string a month together.
Armo doesn't have the tank for Subi (nor would Steven), Howard is still a long way off, McEvoy would be destroyed by Sandilands, Allen hasn't earned a spot, M Gardiner doesn't seem to fare too well at Subi and Raph doesn't have a spot with so many defenders already in the side.
You could bring Leigh Fisher in, but would he do anything that Dempster or McQualter couldn't?
Geary, McQualter, Eddy, Koschitzke and Fiora all had crap games, while King, Jones, Dempster, Milne, Gilbert, Dal Santo and Gwilt were all ordinary, but we just don't have anyone to replace them.

Can't blame Lyon for most of our ordinary list....
We don't have anyone exciting coming through (Steven?).
Draft day over the last few yrs has made me so angry now we're paying for it.
Our side is pinning its hopes on rookies coming through.
We need to get some talented youth happening.

How can you say you can't blame Lyon and then complain about lack of youth coming through? He's the one who has recruited 12 recycled players in 2 years at the club.BallBanger wrote:Can't blame Lyon for most of our ordinary list....

I lay most of the blame on Beverage/thomas (thomas always said he was not reponsible).mad saint guy wrote:How can you say you can't blame Lyon and then complain about lack of youth coming through? Carlton - take Judd for 1st + 2nd round draft picks we get Brooks for same.
Ackland - for 2nd round (ranked 6th on port list of ruckman
McGough - 3 round
Watts - ceo's son
etc etc
Yes Lyon must also take some of the blame
You were not around when we were known as Carlton and Hawthorns seconds MSG but it appears nothings changed...

rix has been listed for a couple of weeks now as an emergency maybe he could come in for him.
but i dont think that king has been doing that bad he got a bit of the ball around the groung tonigh wich is somthing gardiner struggles to do and rix most of the time he plays.
someone who has gone down hill is kozi his form is slipping along with the rest of the teams.
may be this is why he is getting worse and worse in the fwd line as the weeks go on.??

he players in the seniors are not just willing to work hard enough and way too many have dismal skills.

Have to agree with you, Its the old Mother Hubbard story .Newman wrote:Sadly ain't no one to bring in that will make a major difference. But I'd drop Fiora (might go at tribunal) and Geary in place of Armitage and Birss. Think we got no choice but to leave King. What a pity M Gardner has not sparked.

If you want class bring back X - a much better player.
You can't bring back boiled lollies and expect chocolates.
and has a fair bit of talent.
