Big Picture - Move away from Telstra Dome

Post: # 618947Post SaintDippa »

Once again out in the cold and wet and what do we get?

Missing targets, losing footing, poor handling, .... terrible footy. . We cannot perform without a roof over the playing arena.

Finals are rarely played there, the flint hard surface induces injuries and we never play well under natural conditions so why continue there??

We are playing like this at all venues, in all weather, with or without a roof. We are not up to it at the moment and won't be while we have the Coach we have. His idea is to be negative at all times so we don't need all those skills because we don't need to score well.

We've won 6 of the last 11 we've played at the MCG, and 12 of the last 17 (ie we won 6 in a row in 2004/05).

I think we have a reasonable record there. But I agree with you - playing on that hard track in an artificial and sterile environment, out of the weather, is I think what makes us struggle when we travel.
