Saints vs Collingwood thoughts
This game is a crucial as everyone is saying, but it really is a game for our players who are highly regarded, to stand up and strut their stuff -and make a statement. Our experienced players need to lead from the front - I don't want this one to slip.

My thoughts are as follows.
The AFL work so hard to create fake, manufactured blockbuster games between the traditional heavy weights while teams like stkilda are left to rot.
Oh, we don't have the supporter base so Carlton/Collinwood/Essendon should have eternal rights to midseason spectacles. Thanks dimwit.
You can't manufacture a situation as epic and grand as this. The great man retiring, collingwood going through some strife that will result in team bonding and man hugging.
1 premiership in our history and we have the greatest player ever. Harvey isn't a media whore like Buckley, Hird and Voss so he is immediately in another class.
This is going to be ball tearing, nut crunching, and more references to male geneitalia getting mutiliated cracker of a game.

Why just Geelong?? Do Hawthorn not deserve some respect???3rd generation saint wrote:If we are to be any sort of chance to give Harvs the premiership he so richly deserves, we must win tomorrow night and win with authority.
We need to grab that 4th spot, that way we will get two cracks at Geelong for the flag.

? not about respect. i think the point is that geelong will finish 1st so if get to 4th we would play geelong in week 1 and get a double chance.johnpeterbudgefanclub wrote:Why just Geelong?? Wet,scrappy, cold, tough footy.
Enter Lenny Hayes. Can be the difference between the two tonight
As for the greatman, you used to mark 3 votes down automatically when you saw these conditions. He may turn back the clock on the farewell tour. Makes a mockery of the kids and the other mortals when the ball is slippery with his clean hands
