Promotion of the Club- and Parks announcement

Post: # 613146Post saintbrat »

I have wondered about sponsors etc and whether there were new ones on the horizon

a small clue is seen on the back drop used for media appearances today- which differs from the one used behind lenny on Wed ( see saintscentral)

along with Jeld-Wen and UD and The Age - there now appears Coke, Ch Ten and parks victoria to note a few.

now whether they are sponsors or just supporters its great to see more groups getting behind the Saints.

COngrats to the saints for taking advantage of the Bay connection that is now evident

Why Parks Victoria? Why St Kilda?
Parks Victoria is the recreational manager of Port Phillip and it promotes and protects the environmental, recreational and economic wellbeing of the Bay.

St Kilda Football Club is developing a new headquarters in Frankston, has a VFL relationship with Sandringham and its community base is along the Bay. St Kilda is the AFL team to back the Bay.

Is that Port Philip Bay or swampland behind Belvedere Park in the background?

St Kilda does something really positive and you just want to have a dig?

Kudos to the Club!! Sounds like a promising initiative with some great partners jumping on board.

Sorry..perhaps I had the sarcasm-o-meter wound up a bit high, but Ijust get irked every time I hear "St Kilda Football Club is developing a new headquarters in Frankston" when the reality is that its quite likely to be in a very un-Bayside (yes thats whats in the background of that pic) location, not actually in Frankston!!!

Bit like moving from Telstra Dome to Flemington and still calling it Docklands

Quite understandable - how many times will we have a new announcement regarding a state of the art venue with lots of fanfare (and then have our hopes dashed yet again)?

When will we see action of the ground instaed of words and photos?

Where will the action be???

As long as The Government pays for the privelidge, I don't care.

It's a simple case of:

SHOW US THE MONEY, and Government money is just as good as Private Sector money

Perhaps this partnership will cover the shortfall at Frankston !!
