What ever happened to Tim Allen ? He was a cult figure in the 2's , saw him play a few games & thought this guys gunna be a gun but apparently he was a bit head strong (Rod Owenish) & we end up trading him to the Dawks, but he didnt do anything there either, but can remember like yesterday this skinny kid playing at chf marking everything in sight & kicking goals from 50 virtually winning a game on his own boot .

I used to go early and watch the the last half of the reserves (back in the days when you could do that) and this guy used to dominate. Remember him kicking a goal from inside the centre at VFL Park once. Also sat the row in front of his mother the day he kicked his first goal (when Plugger kicked 13 agianst the Blues).
He also spent a year at the Cats after his stint at the Hawks. Finished up playing on the peninsula and dominating from all reports.

Brett had big problems with a bleeding quad that calcified and gave him heaps of trouble for a number of years. He is now captain of Balwyn who are sitting 2 games clear on top of the Eastern Footy League Ladder ahead of Noble Park & Vermont !!

ouch that would be sore.. did that stop him running/kicking i imagine? was a good young player that would have suited todays style of play.

Turkey Trott once told me Brent Cowell had the silk of Robert Harvey and the toughness of Paul Kelly.

Tim Allen last week named in MPNFL team of the century (Mornington Peninsula). Been a gun at this level for many years, used to play up forward with Simon Goosey for Mornington (fair forward line at this level!)

was a pretty poor kick... very ugly left foot style... semi-effective but skills let him down alot of the time... Bit of a ball magnet tho... similar to CJ, just not as quick..

yeah saw Tim ALlen kick a screamer in the 2s v hawks in the finals in 91 leading up to us v cats

went to geelong and hawthorn

tonnes of talent, but went tot he seniors and would drop chest marks and miss from 15m in front.

had the talent not the confidence IMO

playing seniors at 16 i think, one of the youngest ever

too young IMO not enough development back then.

i like it now players are older and get more pro development before being thrown in the fire.

Plugger gives Tim Allan an almighty wrap in his 1992 book.

I understand why - he looked terrific. Not far behind our 'big' name young midfielders at the time.

Georgiou matured and reached his peak later whilst at Frankston, some media were talking about him getting another chance, but not so...
