What a farken stupid comment.

Of course they have the final say, who are you, are you a brain surgeon???

They had the final say in selecting Gardiner last week and please tell me what good that did??

Lets not discuss anything then and close down this forum

Ok..back on selection:

PORT ADELAIDE
B: Michael Pettigrew, Alipate Carlile, Nick Lower
HB:Jacob Surjan, Toby Thurstans, Nathan Lonie
C: Domenic Cassisi, Kane Cornes, Travis Boak
HF: Greg Bentley 187 , Tom Logan 183, Danyle Pearce 179
F: Justin Westhoff 198, Daniel Motlop 186 , Brett Ebert 179

Foll: Dean Brogan, Shaun Burgoyne, David Rodan
Int (from): Fabian Deluca 203 , Mitch Farmer180, Nick Salter 191, Paul Stewart 191, Adam Thomson 184, Damon White 193, Ryan Williams 188

Now looking at that team...PA have a small forward line...and will probably be looking to exploit pace and run.

An extra small/medium option may be required...Geary or Birrs? Though both have been in the midfield at Casey.

Would Gwilt be mobile and nimble enough for any of those small to medium PA forwards?

The saints need to shut down Motlop, and as he bob up ina quarter with anumber of goals you need someone on him with good concentration. Dempster?

Blake to take Westhoff...so that sam can stay free?

Also Charlie would be very capable ona most of those PA backs. Playing Charlie really lessons the laod on Roo, and it means that Roo can play closer to goals where he is more dangerous.

I'd like to see us go in a shootout with them. Let em go head to head and watch us destroy them.
I know Rossco likes to have the very defensive element in the team which is no doubt needed, but for one week I'd like him to just let the shackles off and say "boys,I want you to kick 25+ this week".
This Port side should be opened up and decapitated. They've got a handful of dangerous players, however the majority of them are inconsistent..see Rodan,Pearce,Motlop,Ebert and co. There side is weaker than weak this ...week

I expect things to get nasty for Port sunday, and i haven't felt this for one of our games all season..or last for that matter

I don't recall if the older Ebert (Russell) had a head like an Easter Island Statue like Brad?
Everytime I see him I marvel at how he doesn't topple over from all that weight he appears to be carrying above his shoulders?

Don't know if it's been posted yet, but the full team has been announced.

INT: Schneider, Gwilt, Fiora, Geary
EMG: Birss, Rix, C Gardiner

So that would make it:

OUT Max, MG, Armo
IN Gwilt, Kosi, Geary

GOOD changes ('cept for Max..)

Am pretty sure that the 3 emergencies and fiora will be cut at the end of the season. Feel for them but they pretty much have not done a thing that good for us since they have been at the club. Can only hope and pray that we can get some sort of semi-good trade for a couple of them!!!!

Where has St Fid gone?

Rix emergency, St Fid runs out of steam.

I still do not believe Fiora will play. Had big quad problems at training.

Birrs in for mine.

I hope your right - I much prefer Birss in for Fiora. He tackles.

Great attitudes gets F*** all ...

So lets put a stamp on a player that has no future at the Saints and nominate him on a short list of playing a game...

Yep that would make for a total stupid move come finals

a player that has no future in the AFL and last week, another player that has done F*** all in about 5 years gets a gig had does nothing (yet again)

and yet be told in his ear he WON'T FARKING PLAY....

yeah...

I see what a "great attitiude" plays in this day and age....

Yep the naming of Rix was total class in respect of a great career he had at St Kilda...

and the exclusion of a potential star is a great move and one that we should embrase ......

why???

we embrace imbeciles on this forum and post crapola on a ex ruck that has no future...

tell me was it 15 pages of crap???

maybe not, because I chimed in with some wisdom...

give me a break, and stop posting for the sake of it for F*** sake, any wonder this site is where it's at...

Your above post and your crapola about a player that has past it about 5 years ago is testament of what you truly are...

NO FARKEN IDEA........

NOW IF IF GET BANNED, I DON'T MIND

but, your post was directed towards me and I have responded...

again get a clue on who can play and who can't

You have more than likely never seen Fergs play outside of the AFL or maybe your home...

GET A CLUE FFS

I would love to call you a total spanker but the rules wont allow me to

you have spanked yourself for years and the pinnacle is your knob mate Gardiner...

Enjoy

Sorry...where was he picked? What has Fergs got to do with this thread?

A lot of irony here. You cast crap at me for hoping that Gardiner could restablish his career...but hold out Ferg who has played vastly less football in the five year period that you are judging Gardiner over.

12 games in 5 years and only 93 disposals is hardly stellar stuff, but is certainly far far less than what Gardiner has achieved over the same period.

But again what has Ferg got to do with this thread?

PS I have watched Ferg play in the VFL and intraclub, as well as the AFL...but again what has that got to do with this thread?

Care to comment on the other contents that I posted,or are you too precious and are selectiive in what you say...

Oh yeah Gardiner has a far better prospect of resurrecting his career than Fergs...

You would have to live in moron ville to believe that....

Gardiner is farken gone and if not, why not????

Fid handballs to moron....

.. No hang on........... a poster that is in denial....

No hang on a poster that has no farking idea

Quite honestly St Fid it is difficult to reply as you are rambling, mixed in with liberal abuse. If you want to discuss the thread on Gardiner...go back and post in it..rather than here..that is what threads are for.

I strongly suspect that you may have been indulging.

This is meant to be a thread on the team selected this week.

So this weekend still sees a good level of "new" players playing in the selected team:

Eddy...rookie

Geary...rookie promoted last year

Jones...rookie promoted last year

In terms of the fringe

Most of the fringe have been rotated through to show their stuff at the highest level and seize their chance if they are good enough..

Of them Mini a rookie has grabbed his chance and played well enough at present to keep his spot.

Dempster too after a slow start (though was injury hampered in the pre-season. though he like King already had a goodly number of games under his belt at another club.

In terms of the year

Armo given a healthy number of games this year.

Allen and Ben given a taste...but after not winning alot of ball have not been keept in.
