I just thought it would save time - there are some rather stunning commonalities.

And it also sets a nice context for the game against Port...

I don't think that's the gist - more that what's happened has happened and - to quote Al Pacino from Any Given Sunday -

And, we can stay here -- get the s*** kicked out of us -- or we can fight our way back into the light.

No amount of bickering and tooth gnashing, claims of accepting mediocrity, player bashing etc. really help. This team has to move on - the door is wide open.

If people can't see that having the teams occupying places, 2, 3, 4, 5 6 and 7 can all lose on the same round means that the road to September is wide open they can't be helped.

But they have to move on a little IMO. And work out how to do things much, much better against Port.

Why are so many people apologists for this freaking football club.

That loss is absolutely unacceptable.

Unacceptable.

Freakin people telling ME to get a grip....

How about a nice cup of reality. We are mediocre. Mentally soft....Brittle even.

We should never have dropped that game. period.

I am now concerned that if we actually make the finals they will put in another performance like that!

Then everyone will still be going..."oh but we made the finals, that's an inprovement on last year".... Phoey!

Weak as......

"Now the ball is loose, it gives St. Kilda a rough chance. Black. Good handpass. Voss. Schwarze now, the defender, can run and from a long way".....

We should never have dropped that game. period.
A phrase uttered by Dogs, Lions, Pies and Swans fans this weekend..and by at leat one team pretty much every game this year.

Contrary to some peoples opinions on here, St Kilda dont have exclusive rights on playing below-par or dissapointing footy

Read your sig!

It was bumped with the purest of intentions  but it's interesting to see how predisposed we are to post in a particular way, particularly with respect to comments made by individuals.

My coping mechanism kicks in very quickly after that kind of a loss now and I still honestly believe that there's a lot to be learned from identifying mistakes and addressing them - and little to be learned from dwelling in them.

So I think we need to get over the shambles that was this weekend so we can assume our spot in 4th place by the end of round 20.
