the way i see it ross made the right decision replacing kosi with gardiner, but then gardiner just played like s*** and has shown he has very little to offer.
definate out next week.
we can't change the result so we move on.
lets fire up next week.
Fonz dont worry about JD. He is the hindsight king.
Speaking of experts, how did FF go then?
I was wrong that MG played there but I was right that he is no good in that psoition.
Not alone there my friend, wish some others knew the same
One of the worst individual games I've seen and it should definately be back to Casey after that. However, I wouldn't be writing his career off yet. He's been relatively good most times he's played and just had an absolute shocker today.

Excatly.

saintsRrising wrote:Look Gardi had a bad game this week..a shocker. But to write him off is ridiculous.
Why?
He's shown he's a liability, again.
And he has played some good games too.
His position is ruck though...not FF.
Now you might leave himin out in preference to King and Kosi.
But to not keep him at the club is just silly.
What happens if King gets injured?
Also today was his first game back in Perth...that may have done his head in.
If playing in Perth does his head in then god help us.
Going into a game on a big oval with two lumbering ruckman is just asking for it. The two should never be in the same 22 together. Doesn't matter where we are playing.
im not sure whether we should drop him for next week or keep him. dropping him would shatter his confidence, but can we rely on him to step up next week if he is granted the opportunity.
I wouldn't be sinking the boots in after one poor game from Gards after an extended lay off from injury. Earlier in the year he was improving every game with increased fitness and the latest injury seems to have sent him back a fair way. Give him some time to build up again (playing ONLY as a ruckman) and I still think he can be a very useful player.

good post....even WC realised that he is not a FF.

...
yep and to think you dedicated a thread on this moron that lasted about 10 or more pages about his progress....
to be honest I did think just why are you doing this...
yep he was crap and in crap absolute sh1t IMO...
if you are in any way going to shine it would be against your old club...
on the super coach scores Gardiner total score for the match was
MINUS 19 POINTS
Yeah farken pathetic really.... gee, even G Train would have been a better option ....
Get rid of him and give McEvoy a go FFS
Don't wait for the light at the end of the tunnel to appear, run down there and light the bloody thing yourself!
Gardiner was the obvious choice to play. Everyone would have been screeming if he wasn't. Yep he played s***. I would have thought after the cheap shot from Worsfold he would have been fired up. But not so.
Its funny how everyone agreed with the selection on thursday nite but now people say he should never play for us again.
yes he had a shocker but he'd shown signs of form a few weeks ago and no one mcevoy is not senior footy ready.
we could've picked allen but would he have won us the game? c'mon, it was a team effort to lose like we did!
It's one game. And true, he was poor. But he's not a FF, he's a ruckman, and he just about held his own in the ruck contests. Up forward he was poor.
Overall this year he's been a pretty handy player. Wanting to get rid of him after one poor game is just the usual knee-jerk reaction to a loss around here.

It a basic skill most people have on this forum and the skill is called hindsight.

I didn't post here but it worried the hell out of me the selection of mg.
Slow and out of touch he was always going to be found out on the big ground.
With Glass unlikely we should have gone with a more mobile forward like charlie g or allan.
frankly can't believe how many people have held a candle for mg, I've said it b4 and I'll say it again. It is approx 3 years since he played any sort of decent footy.

Not everyone agreed, but continue on, no opinions allowed round here...
