Saints Purple Patch

Post: # 606503Post perfectionist »

For some reason, many teams at times during a season , enjoy a purple patch. Lack of injuries, confidence from a series of wins and a bit of luck can contribute.

Whilst I don't underestimate the loss of Matt M (now in Europe) and who knows about X, our team seems fitter, collectively, than at any time during the year. Can the color purple last?

We kicked of 2004 with 10 in a row but couldn't finish off.
This year we are a good chance to finish the H&A season with 10 wins in a row!! - that should be a confidence builder - going into September with 10 in a row and a double chance....

I think Gardiner is gonna give us a little bit more heading into each match once he returns.

I think his rucking has been the best we've had in a long time.

Relax Armoooo.

Imagine you're in a desert, no food or water and everyone is talking about a nice clear glass of water.

It's only a matter of time before you start thinking "cold beer".

We are all very very thirsty.

i still miss the goose though.
the arrogance he carried himself with,
when he was up and about, so was the team.

I don't miss him, I think he's too front on and not lateral enough in his movement for 2008 footy if that makes any sense?!

As for our "new" run and fitness, perhaps Misson has successfully implemented the Sydney-style fitness base whereby the team's fitness levels peak at the right end of the season after a slow build up.

Certainly appears that way at the moment.

Has Mission been here 1 or 2 years?

If this is his first year, I applaud him. Truly amazing.

If only we had him in 04-05... :(

If, I hate that word.

i worry about goose. was a shadow of his former himself when he played last year. no confidence, lost too much weight and seems to have no confidence in his leg.
