Schneider Man

Post: # 606296Post LaUrEnCe »

Should play forward more?
Why would he play in defence? What good is that :?

Its been noted hes looked fitter than at the start of the year.

Play him forward IMO, has the ability to pluck out something out of nothing in a tight situation (that goal during the 3rd quarter burst) and can be a major trump card for us come the nitty gritty stages... (ie. finals if we make it)

Has a sexy kick to advantage too

Forward with bursts in the middle is the way to go IMO...

Don't think it is a thing you see much of in the future he only played back to match speed with Rioli I believe when Gram was playing in the midfield

He aint a hack.

And he aint a one trick wonder either.

Looks fitter now than at the start of the year.

Milne + Schneider = one hell of a small forward brigade.

Still here.

He's not a hack, but he's a wuss and is in my view, very lucky to be playing AFL footy.

Yep very lucky indeed rodger........ what's he played now? 108 games? And a premiership medallion to boot - something our group from the "halcyon days" hasn't achieved on its own. Or was he lucky to get a game in that one too? (god why am I even writing "halcyon" when it covers 2 and a bit years????)

How many have you played?

The very fact that you label him a "wuss" is quite tragic as it takes lots of guts to play at this level. Not only that, but it's a slur on his character.

I see you're still proving yourself to be an exceptional judge of football talent........

Ross Lyon went out and recruited this bloke because he's got a nose for goal, and he'll be able to provide another string to our midfield bow.....

Incidentally he's the 2nd most accurate goalscorer (with a conversion rate of 68%) who have kicked more than 10 for us this season.

Keep up the good work Schneider. Look forward to you ramming more goals through for us this year, and also ramming it up these critics' clackers.

When on song Schneider is one of the most dangerous small forwards in the league... However will his body allow him to continue his output?

My biggest concern about Schneider is his body, all the Sydney supporters that I spoke to when we picked him up said the same thing, he will tease you with a couple of good games in a row only to go and do his hammy again...

one game does not make a season. Thats the standard we expect, nothing less.

Needs to take those marks on the lead, missed one that ended up causing a shot at goal on the rebound.

Has been good in patches throughout the year and also within individual games. I am not a big fan of the specialist small forward as a rule and am still not convinced he is best 22. Certainly the expriment with him as a small backman on Rioli was a failure. Obviously Ross is worried about this type of player. Eddie Betts has played well against us, Leon Davis BOG in the pies game and the Doggies who have a number of small forwards have beaten us twice.

Ultimately I think Baker X Clarke and possibly Geary are in our best 22. That means Schneider, Armitage, Eddy, Fiora and Mini must keep performing to get a spot.

Maybe this year?

Talk about premature adulation. His out put this year has been VERY modest. Its been worthwhile having him in 2 games this year.
To condemn regardless is as idiotic as to praise irrespective of actual results. jusy is still out...

You can stop Milne, you can stop Schneider, but you can't stop both of them.

They compliment each other fantastically.

Speaking of bursts through the middle, Milne early in the 3rd quarter was great in the middle.

Best thing you've ever said.

He was great on Saturday night and again showed he's more than capable of hacing a big impact on the result.

A must if we're to do any damage in September.

One good game this season? Oh man...I'll just let that one go

For me he will have earned his place when he tears the Sydney Syndicate a new one in the finals and puts them out of the race as he did to us.
I will get great satisfaction out of reminding the Sydney Syndicate Supporters of this as they do us

Until then being a part of a consistant StKilda side will do 8-)
