Hey Dools...honest question..is it compulsory that they have to rhyme?

Has the CS ever thought of using a saying or quote that isnt a lil rhyming poem like Clubs have been using for decades..if it was considered inspirational enough?

Just a thought...I know North used WE ARE THE NORTH MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB in Round 1 after all the kerfuffle about their relocation.

there no rule about rhyming and stuff
i think most clubs do it because its catchy and most of the people like it.

This week is a special match. It is the Blue Ribbon Cup. As a mark of respect for the 150 Victoria Police members who have been killed in the line of duty, players and on-field officials will wear reflective blue and white chequered arm bands.

The son of a slain police officer will present the cup at the end of the match.

I think we should go with something solemn. Eg

Blue Ribbon Cup:
St Kilda salutes
Police officers killed
In the line of duty.
