They are the next kids to be 'blooded'. Miles could well take Gwilt's spot across half back, and Steven could take Eddy's spot. If Miles comes in, it means Gehrig is done and dusted.
VERY tough to break into the current side though, bar injury. Especially given it looks like we're set for a red hot crack at finals.

Steven is more of a half forward playerOtiman wrote:They are the next kids to be 'blooded'. Miles could well take Gwilt's spot across half back, and Steven could take Eddy's spot. If Miles comes in, it means Gehrig is done and dusted.

Got a feeling there a fair way off as both couldnt get a game for Casey yesterday. Miles cannot play anyway because he is a rookie.saints11 wrote:Heard On the radio From SOS that Luke Miles And jack Steven Aren't far Away From getting a game But for miles he would have to return from injury first

Re: Luke Miles & Jack Steven
The reason I ask is because I spoke to 2 players yesterday and they thought he might be playing and they didnt mention an injury but SOS would know more.saints11 wrote:Yes On senplugger66 wrote:I missed that did he say it on Friday?saints11 wrote:Well Stephen Silvagni Said that Miles is injured and i'm just going by what he saidplugger66 wrote:When did he get injured. If the coaches want to play Miles then he can be elevated for Connors, who is out for the year with a shoulder.
Maguire - McQualter
Gehrig - Eddy
Connors - Miles?
I would love to see Miles get a game before the end of the year because he looked very, very promising in his one NAB Cup match. It isn't much to go by, but he showed all the signs of a very capable AFL player.

I hope Miles was injured, cos if he's injured again he seems to be injury prone....
Def reckon he's a good chance of becoming a decent AFL player, from the small glimpse we saw a long time ago, and the fact he's doing very well for Casey. I'm surprised he was dropped on the weekend...well, I hope he was dropped, rather than omitted cos of an injury...

Eddy is in for Conners. No one replaced the G and it is to late now unless he is going to play in the next 2 weeks. A good game in a practice match. You are pleased easily.mad saint guy wrote:If the coaches want to play Miles then he can be elevated for Connors, who is out for the year with a shoulder.

Miles is a rookie so he won't be blooded this year.Otiman wrote:They are the next kids to be 'blooded'. Miles could well take Gwilt's spot across half back, and Steven could take Eddy's spot. If Miles comes in, it means Gehrig is done and dusted.

Eddy and McQ already playing from the rookie list. We still have one spot (Gehrig) to elevate a rookie should we wish to do so.saintly wrote:Miles is a rookie so he won't be blooded this year.Otiman wrote:They are the next kids to be 'blooded'. G comes off the LTI list in 2 weeks unless they can prove he is still injured which may be hard.Otiman wrote:Eddy and McQ already playing from the rookie list. A little off topic but how good is it to see that Geary, McQualter, Eddy, Attard and C.Jones have all been impressive coming off the rookie list in the last two years, Miles is looking likely aswell, would be great if Van Rheenan could develop into a solid number 1 ruckman which could free up McEvoy to spend time up front in the future...Otiman wrote:Eddy and McQ already playing from the rookie list. Dont think LVR will be with us next year and anyway McEvoy is ruckman not really a forward.Armoooo wrote:A little off topic but how good is it to see that Geary, McQualter, Eddy, Attard and C.Jones have all been impressive coming off the rookie list in the last two years, Miles is looking likely aswell, would be great if Van Rheenan could develop into a solid number 1 ruckman which could free up McEvoy to spend time up front in the future...Otiman wrote:Eddy and McQ already playing from the rookie list. Shame about LVR, thought he had some potential, I know McEvoy is not a full time forward but it would be nice to have a ruckman who can be some use further down the ground....plugger66 wrote:Dont think LVR will be with us next year and anyway McEvoy is ruckman not really a forward.Armoooo wrote:A little off topic but how good is it to see that Geary, McQualter, Eddy, Attard and C.Jones have all been impressive coming off the rookie list in the last two years, Miles is looking likely aswell, would be great if Van Rheenan could develop into a solid number 1 ruckman which could free up McEvoy to spend time up front in the future...Otiman wrote:Eddy and McQ already playing from the rookie list. What do you think of our other prospects?
Blake McGrath was it? and Haretuku?, any of those blokes likely?
