Wet Rain

Post: # 600836Post Top4King »

make sure that we all put our red weather gear on tonight because it's going to be wetter than blue whale ..
the question is, is it a good thing?

Radar looks fairly reasonable to me,won't be much if anything left by this arvo. So no excuse for the new range of sushi eating theatre going generation of saints fans to not be there. I want to hear some noise tonight, but the way our fans are these days I expect there to be about 10K of us there and 40 of them

layers - and preparation the key

Love the rain- water storages are still diminishing

but the saints need to play everywhere-- I have been retaping some old games

dal's 50th was just a little damp- and we won that. Ok it was 4 years ago.

is that so jonesy?

rain may not be a bad thing.
rain would assist the experienced players you would think and rain would be a good thing in my opinion.
even if there is no rain the conditions will still be very very soft and greasy.

i like the way you think saintbrat :)

thermals
wollen socks
leather shoes
a pair of jocks
a pair of boxers
slim tracky-racks tucked into wollen socks
baggy tracky-racks over the top
t-shirt tucked into slim trackys
t-shirt tucked into baggy trackys
jumper
overcoat
jacket
scarf
beany
gloves

= 15 layers :D

EDIT: plus a garbage bag = 16 layers in total

i remember the qualifying final against Sydney at the G, was watching it bak yesterday..

the ground was wet, it showered every now and then.
we played one of our best footy for the year, Frasier kicked 6, Milne kicked 4...although finals can be unpredictable.

sydney the week before played a wet game against WC and won that, being the favourites against the saints the following week.

i guess having the help of some small players who r advantaged in wet weather, Powell, Thompson and Aussie.

well just saying, i feel confident for a wet game at the G, and to make it that carlton havent beaten us for now...8 years :D

exactly,

wet/dry..

.. it doesn't really matter.

i think i read that we have beaten them the last nine times played, rain would simply increase the margin.

plus...we kicked a centurary (with the help of Frasiers 92+6 goals)

important to storm infront early in the game. i think it was like sydney - 52 - Saints - 106

yeah! :)
three or four in the first quarter and again in the second and third should be enough to see them off.

Come in out of the rain. You'll get soaking dry out there.

3:30pm some four hours until start time and I'm pumped!

Four hours of leave should see the surface firm up a bit if we dont get any more rain. Just on the subject, and jonesy may have been correct with his forecast. Appears that the rain has moved over at least for now and that the surface will be dead, yet firming.

Mainly blue skies at present....

So will still be very cold as the heat will escape without couds to hold it in.

But without rain the standard of the game should now be pretty good.
