I think you are right.
Outs would be Allen, Gardiner and Eddy.

F: Milne, Koschitzke, Armitage
HF: Jones, Riewoldt, Harvey
C: Gram, Hayes, Montagna
HB: Gilbert, S. Fisher, Goddard
B: Dempster, Hudghton, Baker

Int: M. Gardiner, Blake, Schneider, Eddy
Emg (from): Gwilt, Allen, McQualtar, Allen

i'd be surprised if they drop allen.

that would leave us a key forward marking target short when riewoldt lines up on the wing, where he is playing his best football for some time.

i wouldn't drop gwilt either.

I think this is a bit harsh. Charlie looks good but simply does not have football smarts. It's not that he lacks pace - he simply does not use it wisely. He does not seem to have that "second sight" that good AFL players need - at least on the forward line. Has he ever been tried back? Can't remember it at the Pussies.

I am always inclined to give the younger players more of a chance. But -

If everyone is fit --

In: Hayes, Baker, M Gardiner, Clarke (either one)
Out: Gilbert, Eddy, C Gardiner, Gwilt

no...the more game time he gets into him without over-doing it the better

if he was to play 100% of matches now at his usual output would hurt his confidence, because he does not get the major possession yet despite having a few good hard tough moments

my guess

in: M.gardiner, Hayes, schneider
out: mini, eddy, gardiner

eddy and mini are stiff and if schneider doesn't work his butt off both along with birss and baker will push for selection in following weeks

Close to the best team for awhile. Agree with bigcarl, allen must stay in and continue his presenting and breaking of packs.

Gardiner to help king destroy carlton in the rucks.

Did he play in the Scorpions? There was no mention of him in the reports.

Crikey! I'm surprised they haven't struck a medal!

Having said that, I would keep him in the "1s", although I'm not convinced about his commitment ( playing OK in front of your 'mates' at the Gold Coast is one thing - repeating it week after week is another), but I would like to see him take Murphy and thrash him.

I rated Schneider at swans, but really hasnt done enough to walk back in to a winning side on what his shown .IMO Hayes Gardiner in Out C Gardiner Mini.

I would prefer to see only one change with Hayes coming in and possibly C.Gardiner going out. I would have thought that the only other guys with the runs on the board to come straight in to our side would be Baker and X.

Schneider definately not an automatic selection and M Gardiner may not be suited to running around in the VFL due to his injury history but if we are nursing him that much then Im not sure we need to risk him against an undersized Carlton ruck division. Save him for a team with strong tap Ruckman.

Maybe this year?

This looks ok solar except I reckon Eddy might be handy to help out shut down a small Carlton option like Betts???......Im not sure with mini/geary out we have many other options to play this role and Eddy is at least fit and hard enough.
