Should we bring schnieder straight back for carlton match

Post: # 597742Post jakestar1 »

I beleive he should stay out of the team for know, but other times i think he should be in the team, because we know what he is capable of eg: prelim final 05', we play carlton on friday night at the mcg, that was the stage schnieder tour us apart in 05,
what do you think, has he done enough to deserve his spot.

I think that's called having a bet each way Jake. Its good to see that you are being decisively indecisive.

He is competing for his spot with the following players:

Schneider, Jones, Birss, McQualter, X.

Currently we've only got two of those guys in the side.

I'd also say no... earn the spot through the Magoos. Keep the team that beat North with as few changes as possible. (But of course, Lenny is a walk-up start!)

Getting injured probably saved him being dropped.

If he comes back, who will he replace?

Based on his form there is nobody that I would drop to bring him back just yet. I'd love to see him play at Casey and put his head over the ball for a number of weeks and EARN his spot in the team.

Off topic
That quote LLS

"You'd be flat out trying to lay a tackle on him in a phone booth"
David Parkin on Robert Harvey after St. Kilda d Carlton in 1999.

I just love it

If he plays (well) for Casey this weekend against Willy, then he's a chance to be selected against Carlton.

let me think.

MCG. Big open spaces. Green grass. lush turf. Murray River crisis. Drought. mmm

yes! play the Schneiderman.

there is a chance that there will be some graziers bringing some cattle to the G for grazing purposes and there is no better man to corral the herd with his amazzing arm waving skills .

coming on top of our best win for the season, you'd think it would be hard to break into the side. i'd keep the changes to a minimum.

hayes is a definite in; m. gardiner a possible.

who goes out is a poser though. i'd persevere with allen as it allows either riewoldt to play wing or kosi to ruck.

if we wanted them to do both at the same time it would leave us a key forward marking target short ... unless charlie is retained.

Needs to prove himself in the seconds I'd imagine, plus he wont be fully fit.

Given his abscence from the Casey side this week, it's a safe bet he won't come in for Carlton. Bakes a chance though.
