[quote="saintbrat"]Injury list as of Monday June 30, 2008:
Jayden Attard – ACL reconstruction, test
my kids spoke to Jayden yesterday at the Scorpions game, he said he should be back in a couple of weeks. My son is bursting at the seams for him to play again (as is Jayden I'm sure). Jayden gave my then 5 year old a footy after Harves 351st game, and has been his favourite player since.

We've seriously missed the 'mongrel' this bloke adds to the team.

Onballer Lenny Hayes, forward Adam Schneider, ruckman Michael Gardiner and utility Xavier Clarke could all return from hamstring injuries, while stopper Steven Baker could also return from a knee complaint

Ok, I'd take Gardy and Lenny straight back without a blink of an eye.saintbrat wrote:http://www.realfooty.com.au/news/news/s ... 39369.html

As for Schneider and X, they should play in the Ressies until they find form.
In Schneiders case, he should be set to task as Dal was to find some hardness and learn to tackle.

I think Gardiner should only come straight back in if we are going to drop king....I dont think we should at this stage play both of themsaintspremiers wrote:Ok, I'd take Gardy and Lenny straight back without a blink of an eye.saintbrat wrote:http://www.realfooty.com.au/news/news/s ... 39369.html

I hear what you're saying - playing Kosi, King and Gardy may be too top heavy.bob__71 wrote:I think Gardiner should only come straight back in if we are going to drop king....I dont think we should at this stage play both of themsaintspremiers wrote:Ok, I'd take Gardy and Lenny straight back without a blink of an eye.saintbrat wrote:http://www.realfooty.com.au/news/news/s ... 39369.html

No way would I drop King - he is very good form at the moment.
If Kosi plays more mobile as he did vs North then perhaps we can get away with playing all three - especially against the vulnerable Carltoon.

If we are going to play a second ruckman when Kosi's in the team then it must be someone that can play forward.
We're kidding ourselves if we think Gardi can still play that roll.
For me it's either King/Kosi/McEvoy or Gardiner/Kosi/McEvoy when they're all fit.
If Kosi's out then King/Gardiner combo for sure but while Kosi's in the team I wouldn't play both.

If thats the road we go down, which i don't think we will, Gards would have to be the choice when fully fit, keeps improving week by week and is a great target in a marking contest.JeffDunne wrote:If we are going to play a second ruckman when Kosi's in the team then it must be someone that can play forward.

Agree SP that X and Schneider should earn their spots through the twos. Same goes for Bakes. We've had two wins on the trot with the young fellas in the team. What message does it send if players like X and Schneider waltz straight back in without earning their place?saintspremiers wrote:[

Gardi I agree is a good inclusion, but like a couple of others, I think we're too top heavy with Kind, Kosi and Gardi. Give Gardi a run in the twos as well I reckon.

I'm not yet sold on either in terms of being a clear best option.
ATM King has earnt a spot. I'd prefer Gardi to win a spot back in the team rather than walking straight back in.
I have a feeling though that Ross might go with both. He likes his ruckman.
