roo and charlie were awesome in their work after their break

Kosi started looking the player he used to be. Perhaps having allen stand up in that second half allowed roo and kosi to run around a little more

milne started to get it in his head that he's a crumber, awesome second half

Dal worked hard, no suprise that good things come to those who work hard

CJ's tackling was awesome

Maxy was awesome on thompson in that final quarter

mini, ball, eddy all did great work in close

BJ has a quiet night yet still made an impact with his body in that final quarter

wow he got more then I really noticed, was noticing his spoiling and hard ball gets more then anything. Plays ruck rover so much better then loose man in defence

He played in defence most of the night - 70% of his touches were out of defence....

Eddy, Allen, McQualter all had quiet nights 31 touches between them...

Gardner was POOR!

Kosi had the freedom to play in the ruck, which allows him to get involved - he is a CONFIDENCE player

Riewoldt was BOG

WTF??? Mini shut down the very dangerous Harvey after half time. You watching the same game??

allowed kosi to get a run on the ball. though riewoldt was BOG by a mile i thought that milne, kosi and dal santo also played a big part in the win.

allen broke packs and allowed milne and CJ to come into it in the second half.

eddy and mini did more then just get touches, they did jobs and used their bodies well

gardiner worked his heart out and started to play on a little more

BJ played on ball in that second half. Suprisingly midfielders actualy drift back as well as run forward....

The main thing was that the guys that didn't play "great" still really contributed with the "one-percenters" and all the team-oriented things. Hopefully our efforts in the "one percenters" tonight is the expected standard for the rest of the season.

Agree 100%. Alot of our players McQ, Gardiner, CJ were very ordinary but they still put in the team things. Makes a huge difference.

If Allen is a walk up start....I hope he gets more than 1 kick....

He did break one pack....and bought the ball down on a few occasions...

But will make way next game.....as will Eddy, Charlie Gardiner and maybe McQualter....

Hayes, Schnieder, M.Gardiner will return and X might....Baker will be close.

okay well walk-up start might be overstating it a bit.

but how many of the above have potential as a key forward and allow the luxury of riewoldt and kosi running around a bit more?

McQualter had 14 touches, 10 came after half time. While Harvey had the edge on Mini, the perseverence allowed McQualter to eventually come into the game, and he wasn't alone in having a much better 2nd half than first.

Would think Eddy will struggle to retain his spot from Hayes, Allen from Gardiner, but would think other than that we'd be unlikely to make too many changes after the break.

Would even wonder about rushing Michael Gardiner back given Carlton doesn't play a tap ruckman, and Kosi looked good as our 2nd ruckman tonight, and it made a big difference to actually have a forward line in the 2nd half, a contribution from Allen even if he couldn't get his hands on it.

I was more excited about winning that by the end than I can remember being about a Saints win in some time.

well go back and watch the first half of that last qrt again, Dal was one of the main reasons why we hit the front.

Game has FOUR quarters....NDS used the ball poorly for MOST of the game.

When you watch the replay tomorrow just note how often he misses the target.

Ball was much worse though..Ball had a shocker tonight....poor hanballs and kicks..ast quarter ome out on the full...and one goal to North from running o the ground too early.

I think Joey has improved out of sight in the last two weeks. 8 tackles last week and three really important tackles in the last 5 minutes tonight. Less possessions and more grunt. Much better effort from Joey.
