Was Dimwit operating the camera ?
Some of the worst camera work I have ever seen !
Hate being forced to watch a game on TV.
But usually the camera work is pretty good.
But tonight it was SH!THOUSE !
Key passages of play were missed as the ball disappeared off the screen whilst the camera stayed behind.
Or went to long shots so you could barely see who was involved.
Or what about that time in the critical last qtr when Roo marked on 50 and played on, and they switched to a shot of Whinger Laidley !
I reckon there would have been Saints fans all ove Melb yelling abuse - until they switched back to Kosi taking the mark.
Did the camera men travel with the Footy Records ?

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
They can even WATCH LIVE FOOTY!

Yes that free was ludicrous.saint66au wrote:Yes...they seem to have an uncaknny knack of being able to go to a replay just as someone plays on...yet the ONE replay I wanted to see, the farcical free against Banger for a push, never got shown AFAIK
There was a free kick correctly paid against Blake earlier in the match when he went up for a mark a mile too early and missed.
But when a North guy did the same thing inside our 50 in the 3rd quarter they just called play-on !!!!!!!

Lots of aeriel shots where you couldn't tell which team was which. I thought the shot that panned across the ground was ridiculous as we ended up missing the far boundary line where the ball was being tossed up, it was obvious that flooding was occuring as pretty much every player on the ground was at the contest at the far end.
Go saints in '09!

It was like the camera shots were at least one kick behind and it was frustrating to say the least.
One thing you couldn't miss was the loud murmurs from the crowd after the umpires missed the giant push in the back that should have been paid to the Saints in the third quarter. The noise from the crowd said it all.
Speaking of Dimwit, wonder what Dimwit thought of the pre-game "entertainment" Burt & Ernie dancing around the ground? Oh so banal and pathetic.
From what a fellow Sainter who was at the game, apart from the die-hard supporters who were also there, she said it was the silence from the crowd as both teams ran out onto the ground. And Christi Malthouse had a crack at Dimwit about the lack of barracking amongst the crowd-except of course for those singing the club song in the last quarter. We could here you loud and clearly.
