The relevance is that we have won games in the last 5 yearts or so when we have been behind by 24 points or less druing the game but not when we have been 25 points or more behind. (BUT i'm not certain that the 'number of 25 points' is factually correct as I'm only going on my memory)

Whether we have been 25 points or more behind in the first, second, third or last qtr is immaterial - the stat is that once we reach that level (25 points behind) we have not been able to win that particular game.
So what?

Which team has won the most games after being 25 points or more down?

I have no idea.
Maybe someone else can post the answer if you are truly interested rather than just posting more of your sarcastic bs.

Our biggest come-back ever ?

Well in 1937 R2 at Glenferrie we were 55 points down at 1/4 time (in fact we failed to score in that quarter) but won by 13 points.

(Hawthorn did of course avenge this in the great R12 debacle of 1999 when we got to 63 points in front :( :( ).

But the best come-back in my time was certainly the "Lockett-Caven" match at the SCG in 94 where we came back from 48 points down in the last quarter to win by a point.

Mr Magic, I think it's time you got a grip. If you're looking to become as childish and pathetic as Teflon, you're well on your way.

If I wasn't interested in the OP - for one I wouldn't have read it and secondly I wouldn't have posted in it.

I asked why the relevance of 25 points, because I want to know why people think it's relevant.

I can't see any relevance to the magical 25 point mark.

I'm also interested that if this stat is significant, which teams does it regularly - and how much success that team has had.

If you can't answer my questions, there's no need to get huffy. Old age does some funny things to people.

So, does anyone know which team has won the most games when down by 25 points?

Does anyone know which team has actually been down by less than 25 the least?

If we can get these stats, then the original one may have some meaning.

Have I missed any of the characteristics that describe so many of your 'thought-provoking' posts?

And I fail to see the need to make derogatory ageist remarks 'Master Debater'.
Why do you deliberately target the older posters on here. Do you feel that they are not uo to your lofty debating skills and are therefore not worthy of your precious time?

How on earth is anyone supposed to know when you are asking a serious question or not?
Could/would you make it simpler for all of us 'lesser lights' by 'flagging' the posts that you actually do want answers to with some sort of 'sign'.
Afterall I, and I'm sure quite a number of others, aren't equipped with the necessary ESP required to establish when you are serious or not.

As per usual, Rodgerfox scurries away after firing another tasteless epithet.

It's becoming very obvious that you love to demean others but as soon as a poster stands up to your insults you slink off with your proverbial tail between your legs. Another sign of the 'internet hero' you have become (or were you always like that?)

I have no doubt that it won't be long before you reappear in another thread spreading your good cheer once more for all to see.

Maybe next time you can start a "Pox Report' thread and regale us all with your incisive thoughts whilst the title reminds us of your true internet character?

If you can find one single demeaning sentence I've written in the past 3 months, that wasn't directed at you, Nuflon, Hard at It or SrR - then please provide it.

I make no apologies for writing demeaning posts towards you or any of the above. You are all sarcastic smart arses who deserve no less.

Anyone else, I'm more than happy to discuss footy with - regardless of their views.

If you can find one single example of otherwise, provide it.

Cannot help yourself 'Master Debater'?
Very unusual of you to respond once you've made your 'goodbyes' in a thread.

As for your 'feigned indignation'

You have shown you are a 'master' at
'put-downs'
'name-calling',
'bullying',
'deflection',
'selective quoting'
and various other debating skills that only seem to work when you are cloaked in the annonymity of a faceless keyboard,

who delights in 'debating' with those that share his point of view or others he feels he is 'intellectually superior' to.

Oh. and where's your mandatory 'You are a Liar' accusation?
That seems to be a regular response from you when the debate isn't going too well for you.

You are very amusing because you are so predictable in your responses.

Generally speaking, I think that come-from-behind efforts are instigated by on-field leaders who inspire others by leading by example. I think we have struggled with aspects of on-field leadership for a long while -Ok when you're in front, but when the chips are down, people need to stand up and work harder.
I thought Lenny displayed some much needed great leadership in the firtst quarter last week, and Goddard showed it too in the second half.

Yep, thought so.

Not one single example to back up your claims.

As for calling people liars, I've only ever called 2 people liars.

Teflon - which he/she quite clearly is.

And SrR.

If you keep writing what your writing, without being able to back it up - you'll be quite rightly called a liar too.

See this is why I try hard to ignore your posts Mr Magic. You've been hell bent on turning just about every thread I post in into a childish, petty slanging match. I couldn't be bothered arguing with an old geezer.

Speaking on behalf of the Forum are you now rodgerfox? - Another sign of your delusions of grandeur?

To paraphrase a Saintsational Legend (in his own mind at least)

'You are a Liar!'
Please provide evidence where I have done what you have accused in 'just about every thread I post in'.
Remember the last time I challenged you to 'put up'? You never accepted the challenge because you knew you couldn't 'put up'. You just 'slunk away' again. like you normally do. I must say this thread has been a breath of fresh air because you've at least hung around, even if you are posting untruths.

You claiming others won't answer your questions given your track record on that subject is so comical

Oh and BTW, I seem to recall you calling RBnW a 'knob' in a post the other day. Does that fit your query on evidence?

I mean being so 'old and feeble' makes it difficult for me to physically check your sad, sorry posting record in this regard, so I just have to rely on my memory.

I look forward to receiving your next installment of fantasy (the 'truth' according to rodgerfox) and as I said to you earlier, I much prefer when you are answering rather than 'slinking off'.

Probably now that I've let you in on that 'little secret' you'll probably revert to norm and 'slink away' now.

...does anyone know who the team that has won the most games after being by 25 points or more?

Thanks beno
not too many come backs in recent years.
Im not sure why there needs to be so many arguments on here that aren't based on the thread and are predominantly personal. If you feel the need, go meet each other and fight it out and leave the forum as a forum.
Aren't we all here united in our love of St.Kilda, not hatred for each other????
