Some people like to see a bit of excitement at the footy.
Yes, I know some of the supporters are exciting
bit I'd prefer to get my excitement from the players antics
...and if we want to kick a winning score then having your most prolific goalscorer in the side is a good start.
Bring back Milne I say. Excitement machine.

Milne, Dal do enough to earn recall
Chris Mitchell | June 23, 2008 12:00am
ST KILDA stars Nick Dal Santo and Stephen Milne got their hands dirty in the VFL yesterday, playing pivotal roles in Casey's 53-point win against Coburg.
Dropped for the first time this season for Friday night's game against Fremantle at Telstra Dome, both put up their hands for an instant recall to the Saints' side for Saturday night's game against North Melbourne at Carrara with impressive performances.
Milne, who played forward and in the midfield, was particularly damaging, booting four goals from 23 disposals to be best afield, while Dal Santo played onball and shrugged off a heavy tag from Coburg's Nick Carnell to finish with 11 kicks and eight handballs.
While Dal Santo refused to talk to the media, Milne said he was happy to find form in wet and slippery conditions at Coburg City Oval.
"It was a bit of a mud-heap but it was good to have a win," the 28-year-old said.
"It was pretty tough out there. It reminded me of the good old junior days in the mud. It was real (tough) footy and it was good to get a run on the ball and . . . get on the end of a couple."
Asked what his role for the game was, Milne said: "To get amongst it."
Scorpions coach Greg Hutchison said he was pleased with the tackling and defensive pressure of both players.
"I thought Dal Santo and Milne both presented themselves very well," he said.
"I thought their attitude was fantastic and their work-rate was great. We just wanted them to play with a fair bit of effort and intensity, and they both showed that.
"I thought Nick's last quarter was really good. He worked really hard, made some good tackles and put himself in the contest, which is what we asked him to do."

Some of you guys are missing the point I like Milne and Dal as well and if they truly deserve and have earned their place in the side that's great I want them in too the only difference with me is I have no problem for the best interest for success of the club to drop them and anyone else who isn't performing up to THEIR standard.Thats why they get paid a lot more money than the lower Players.
Some of you like the Dud are behaving like 15 year olds ( then again i don't know he might be 15) being defensive of their heroes horrified of the thought of dropping star names regardless of whether they are performing or not.
And when i say performing i mean in all aspects . They'd rather drop a lesser player busting his gut giving 100 percent effort before a superstar who strolls around all day in second gear but stats are a bit better because of natural talent.
The big picture is the attitude is contagious through the whole team and if players aren't giving 100 percent effort they are letting the team and the club down and should be dropped and not just judged on stats alone if we want to lift to the next level.

I think if Milne truely played with the right attitude and performed well enough to earn his spot back in the side he should be given the respect and play no matter where it is .aussiejones wrote:Also , its an interstate game so will milne be selected ,and if so he will need to proove he can snag some goals interstate

Don't think it's a real "true" interstate game. The Kangaroos don't really have a home ground advantage at Carrara. Therefore, it's virtually an interstate game for both us & North, so I don't foresee any real home ground advantage.aussiejones wrote:Also , its an interstate game so will milne be selected ,and if so he will need to proove he can snag some goals interstate
The Saints are coming!
