Tonight was the best Captains game from Roo all year. When needed he stepped up and kicked the crunch goals. Well done Roo lets hope this is the game he needed to really take a strangle hold on this team and the captaincy! GO SAINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Before this week, he wasn't the spiritual captain of the club.

That changed this week. The passion is there, and his ability is undoubted, and effort is exceptional.

To kick the those two goals (one set shot from 45m, 45°, and one on the run from about 40m out) was an inspirational effort for the team.

Top game by Roo, top Captains game, showed real heart and leadership. 18 marks, dare I say, best game ever by Roo. He looked like he was out to prove a point and he did it. Keep up the great work.

Hayes was absolutely fantastic in the first QTR ......

Roo was BOG for the rest of the game .......great goals too...
