HAYES TRIPPED
A number of years ago the AFL made tripping a reportable offence because it claimed tripping had the potential to cause injury.
Lenny Hayes was deliberately tripped by hand late in the first quarter resulting in a hamstring injury.
It was captured on TV.
What are the bets that the AFL takes no action because Lenny Hayes was guilty of wearing a St Kilda jumper.

Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Did they say how serious it is ?
How many weeks ?
In the first qtr he was absolutely unstoppable.
16 possessions in the first quarter.
As good an individual quarter as you will see.

Ok....didn't notice that but have watched a passage of play where it appears Lenny twanged his leg as plugger spoke about.
and Warnock....in a bind, young bloke....couldn't pull out, had to make a statement......stiff bikkies, I hope he pays a decent penalty from tribunal.

Whether or not the action resulted in the injury, the trip itself was there.. Needs to be cited for no reason other than the 'spirit of the game'.

Oh, asnd BTW, let's get it out of the way early this week -
How were your good mates the Umpires last night - 10/10?
I thought the umpiring was poor but didnt favour either side but helped both sides with frees that eventually caused shots for goal that I really couldnt see. And yes I do love AFL football and me saying IMO it isnt a trip doesnt in this case make me an AFL apologist as who knows they may site it but again IMO if anyone is sited for that well what has become of this game.Mr Magic wrote:Old enough to recognize what you are Mr AFL Apologist.plugger66 wrote:How are you old one eye?Mr Magic wrote:Plugger said he didn't, so you are obviously wrong!The_Dud wrote:form the vision i saw, he was looking good until he tried to run off and the Freo bloke had hold of his ankle, causing him to stretch unnaturallyplugger66 wrote:You must be joking. You always stick up for the AFL so it is a pointless, ridiculous question by you.plugger66 wrote:I thought the umpiring was poor but didnt favour either side but helped both sides with frees that eventually caused shots for goal that I really couldnt see. And BTW, you can still love AFL Football if you dare to criticize the authorities.
You don't have to be a sycophant to be seen as a 'true lover of the game'.
Just my opinion of course.
