Lenny and Bally will be at there awesome best in the middle tommorow nite giving 100 percent and giving us 1st use.

We get to see the debut of big Mcevoy lets hope he's a future star.

We've called for Ross to make some changes well he's done that now it's time to embrace it and go into tomorrows game with some confidence.

Stop the pav and we're well on the way.

Go sainters.

Please put positve comments here i'm tired of all the doom and gloom.

Based on the effectiveness of Dal Santo's 2008 season, Freo's current odds have firmed to $1.78

Good work LENNY LEADS THE WAY. Refreshing to read a positive thread.

There's no point dwelling on the negatives at the minute. I'm very keen to see what the young kids can bring to the side tomorrow night.

Ross Lyon is over halfway through his tenure and his chances of being reappointed are slim at best

Despite all the negativity with everything at the moment, its always exciting to see new kids come through and hopefully have a bit of an impact.

You are wrong they were about $2;30 before Dal was dropped , now solidly into $1:60 favourites ... and firming further well done Ross .....

Lucky we aren't coached by bookies! Might be worth throwing a few bucks down for the Saints, me thinks!!!

Exciting that finally the rest of the footy world will cotton on and realise who's in charge of our club and that he is not good enough to coach a senior AFL side.

No, seriously. In a bizarre way, it's a good thing. The more erratic and rubbish calls he makes, the more he reminds me of Tim Watson.

As it stands, there's very, very little between them.

I am stunned at how much likeness there is between yours and Rodgerfox's posts....its not just the inane content.....even the phrasing.......bizarre...

When Eade took over the Dogs they were rubbish for a few years while he re-shaped the list.

When Clarkson took over the Hawks they were rubbish for a few years while he discarded the talentless.

Let Ross Work.

Biggest positive

Ben McEvoy gets to learn rucking in the big time against one of the real "big" men rather than those at VFL level. Can only do the boy good :)

You make an exellent point
However when lyon took over St Kilda they wern't rubbish, but within one and a half seasons they appear to be heading that way, thats a big difference thanks for pointing that out....

Ross took over an average but over-rated list, and they've stayed average under the belief that changes like those made this week, are taboo and will cost us our premiership. But kids, the premiership ain't there, just like the brilliant team was never there. Let RL work.

yep when RL took over the saints he was going to 'take the next step' we had played finals 3 years in a row, and each one of those season carried one of the biggest injury lists in the competition.

Players who played well in 05, 06, are pretty much playing at the same level or worse than then.

Riewoldts career accuracy has dropped dramatically, he has lost all confidence with kicking, FG is expected to chase kicks in the back pocket, our forwards are never in the forward line, not one of our midfielders has improved under the tutelage of Ross Lyon.

he is not teaching, he is not growing the team, he is taking us backwards.

All he has done is leach of the talent of St kilda, when we do win games its DESPITE ross lyon, not thanks to him.

Not everyone (see other post going around). It's just this thread has been hijacked by miserable softcock supporters who only barrack for this team to give 'em something to whinge about.

THREE BIG POSITIVES. Get over the negatives and move on.

Good luck to all our younger blokes who are playing tonight..make your mark and put pressure on some of your more experienced team-mates for those senior team positions.

Re Dal ..skill alone doesn't make a top footballer.. I remember Geelong had heaps of skilled midfielders and onballers back in Blight's day in the late '80s, it got them in the finals, but none of them liked to defend much, or get the hard ball, and as a result they didn't win a flag then.

well doesn't say much for the 18 who avoided the chop who have few hard ball gets and few tackles than Dal Santo does it?

sorry but we are going to make an example of one of the guys who have been there abouts this season, so that you hopeless guys down the bottom of the performance charts take a less?

instead of punishing the guys who haven't been doing the job, Im going to punish the guys who have...

btw clint has been averageing fewer tackles per game and fewer hard ball gets than Dal santo, and someone how Dal Santo gets labelled soft
