For starters Eddy & Miles are on the rookie list, so wont be getting a game until promoted.Otiman wrote:This is the order in which i'd bring players in from Casey.

Ideally, we should get as many games as possible into at least the top 5 in that list.
You can't drop Charlie! He was BOG for us last week, whoever wrote that is either stupid or didn't watch the game!
Birss and Armo were both pretty unlucky to get dropped, I think they both have to come back.
From what I understand Harvey, Dempster & M. Gardiner all injured.
Ferg & Kosi still injured also.
My team this week would look like.
F: Milne, Allen, Jones
HF: Birss, Riewoldt, C. Gardiner
C: Armitage, Hayes, Gram
HB: Dal Santo, S. Fisher, Gilbert
B: Gwilt, Hudghton, Geary
R: King, Goddard, Ball
Int: McQualtar, Montagna, McEvoy, Schneider
Emg: Howard, Rix, R. Clarke, Blake
In: McEvoy, Armitage, Birss, Allen
Out: M. Gardiner, Harvey, Dempster (all inj), Blake (omit)
I think run Dal across half back to free him up, run him back into some form (even though he really hasn't been that bad), start Joey and Schneids on the bench, let them know it's there last chance.
Blake's unlucky, he gives 110% but he's always just gonna be a top up player.

Could use some more run through the middle thats all...otherwise I agree.
I drop Gwitl for X if can.

People have been talking McEvoy up all year. A week hasn't gone by without a "Bring in McEvoy" thread.
I just hope that people don't then create the "Drop McEvoy!" threads if he doesn't live up to the expectations - which in all likelihood he won't straight away. He needs an extended run in the side first, I hope people don't judge him on his one performance this weekend.
Mind you, hopefully he tears the opposition apart and gets three Brownlow votes.

I want to see McEvoy played as much as everyone else but I hope they keep him away from Sandilands, as that may be one step too far, for a first up match.
Play King on Sandilands at the center bounces and let McEvoy take their 2nd Ruckman. It seems like common sense to me.
This team needs some fresh blood so badly it's not funny! It would be nice to see a little enthusiasm out there for a change!

they might be young st kilda listed players but they have to show something surely to deserve chance
at least armo carved up in the 2's..
im guessing i will take that into account to giving my opinion as to who comes in...

We need Raph in as quickly as possible hes the only person in the team other than Max who has a defensive side over head. He is continually third man up in marking contests either from behind or running back with the flight. No stats in the paper show this but this attack on the ball make up for his errors.

I'm very happy to see him finally selected.
He should be played up Forward and in the Ruck(only when Warnock is).
I hope he is still in the team in 2 weeks time when we play Carlton so he can go head to head with Kruezer and Hampson. It would be a good challenge for him.
And also don't expect to much from the kid, he is just a 18yr old 200cm Ruckman and we won't be seeing his best for a few years yet. But I hope he does well.

well it seemed to me that you were ridiculing the poster who said allen and eddy deserved a chance by asking them what they had done to deserve a chance with numerous question marks. i just asked how you would know since you wouldn't have seen the game.Saints Premiers 2008 wrote:it was on this forum that armo carved up the match this weekend pastfonz_#15 wrote:not bad observations of a 2's game when you live in brisbane..do you fly down and watch the scorps weekly do you?Saints Premiers 2008 wrote:what has allen done to deserve a chance???ralphysaints35 wrote:Good!

i wanted to know what they had done to deserve the chance (apart from being young which is the theme around here...play someone because they are young)fonz_#15 wrote:well it seemed to me that you were ridiculing the poster who said allen and eddy deserved a chance by asking them what they had done to deserve a chance with numerous question marks. i just asked how you would know since you wouldn't have seen the game.Saints Premiers 2008 wrote:it was on this forum that armo carved up the match this weekend pastfonz_#15 wrote:not bad observations of a 2's game when you live in brisbane..do you fly down and watch the scorps weekly do you?Saints Premiers 2008 wrote:what has allen done to deserve a chance???ralphysaints35 wrote:Good!

i used numerous question marks as it is a habit i have gotten into
i wasnt ridiculing anyone...i for one don't want some kid running out tomorrow night just to get smashed and his direct opponent kick 5 on him

I just hope Kosi is out as he needs to be (A) fit and (B) play for the Scorpions to regain some confidence in his ability.
I also would like to see Roo out for this week and next (following week is the bye) so he has a full month off to get his knee right. I know Ross is too gutless to try this though unfortunately!
I would also like to see Schneider drop for reasons I've been into many times before.
As for Ins, yep, McEvoy is a no-brainer (sorry Rixxy!), Armo is also, and hopefully Allen.
