where abouts would he play, and who would need to make way for him?
surprised that RL singled him and mcevoy out in his press conference

Howard should not be rushed into the side.
He is obviously on the improve but not dominating VFL yet.
I got to speak to JB earlier this year about Howard and he said the only problem with Howard was all in his head. Once (and he did add if) he believed enough in himself he would become a very good footballer.
I would let Howard continue to gain confidence in the VFL until he really starts kicking butt.
Hopefully he will be a success story by perseverence (which most of us don't have the patience for but hopefully the club staff do ).

you weren't happy with his game against sandy on saturday? sheesh you ask for alot. Didn't pull the game apart but read the play well and everything he does is very good.Sobraz wrote:Howard will not make it... simply shows nothing time and again at the 2nds level, and is a wasted pick... We are in a pretty bad state at the moment..

"It's a work in progress," Lyon said.
got to be kidding... he was woeful against Sandy... His kicking is dreadful, decision making just as bad, and has no weapons... He is lost on the field.. That one goal he got was by accident... The kid aint the answer...Solar wrote:you weren't happy with his game against sandy on saturday? sheesh you ask for alot. again, people calling to drop our leading goalkicker... he is sitting in the top 15 in the comp this year, but should be dropped for Howard...spert wrote:Casey vs Sandy game was a game of two good defensive teams, so not much room for shows of skills, just a slog game. There's a few players in the seniors who just don't deserve theri spot and Howard at least should get a spot in place of Milne for example
We need to score this week to win.. Milne is our best at doing that, as the scoreboard shows...

Howard is going alright this year. Certainly a better selection than most of the guys at Casey. Is quite small, but could play on some small forwards. Skills are good when it's not blowing a gale down there at Casey Fields.
If reports are true that it's confidence, perhaps a game in the AFL will do more harm than good.
