Time for a youth transfusion: Lyon

As Ive said numerous times before, we need to bring in some of the kids on our list and continue their development.

At the least to just bring in some excitement and enthusiasm for gods sake.

After reading this it sounds like Ross is hearing the same tune.

I think that is good news and hopefully places some long over due pressure some front runners.

So who is our next rising star and who was the last.

Thats right it was Gilbert how many games ago, not much has happened inbetween drinks that is for sure.

Bring on the young blokes, at least you can cop a loss on the chin if you are developing instead of the losses on the back of selection and hope for a result that is NEVER going to happen with current players.

Brisbane have turned it around within a few seasons without shyte hitting the fan by getting the picks and drafting the right players, we copied them in the past without a result so lets learn from them agian and follow the footsteps of a club that knows how to go about it.

Some BIG names need to go this year for a brighter future, there is not 1 player on our list that I would be upset about if the right deal could be done. The list have not got the results we all wanted and now its time to get the best results for the club.

And before that you have to go way way back to our superstar Raph Clarke.

That about sums it up really, to much has been given to this current group.

FARKIN rock stars most of them living in the past.

In the words of BB "its time to go"

Is Lyon for real???? This coming from a man who dropped the very
promising young Armitage and didn't even make him an emergency. His after match comments have proved to be useless week after week.
Pay out his contract at the end of the year and bring in someone who will at least bring some attacking flair into the team yet make all our players accountable. I'm sick of seeing one of our players often battling against 2 or 3 opposition players while team mates don't go into to help instead just standing back waiting for him to somehow get it out to them giving them easy possessions. Jones has been a shining light with his attack on the ball and yet he has been dropped a few times this year.
Tell me has anyone here ever seen Fiora or Gram actually bump an opponent? Time to bite the bullet and admit Lyons with his style of football is not our answer. then again our president said keep him for another 10 years

I hear ya
Lyon suggested the group was lacking enthusiasm and energy. He said that one of the ways to overcome that problem was by bringing in younger players that were currently impressing in the reserves.

“The time has come for the [Ben] McEvoy's and the [Brad] Howards. We've got some good kids in our seconds and they had another good win today. I can't accept continually losing and going in with the same cattle.

“We judge everyone on the ability they have and what they delivered tonight. So if you don't meet your ability you're going to be under some pressure and we're going to make some changes.

“We need to blood more [kids]. We need to get a blood transfusion into the group to get some enthusiasm and energy.â€

I predict next week there will be eight games of AFL and that there will be 8 winners and 8 loosers. Tell me I'm wrong.

I'm probably someone who, over the years, has felt too much loyalty to almost anyone who has been on our list at that time. Finally I've woken up & I agree entirely with what you're written above Mik. It's rebuild time &, with new clubs on the horizon, we don't have time to mess around we need to be ruthless so as to get a new batch of kids in asap.

It's a shame ignorance isn't painful
