Team against the swans
Ditto from me re: Bakes. I would LOVe to see "Big Ben" get his shot at the big time. Like the move re: Nick Riewoldt as well, I think its time to try a few moves from leftfield, without going too far!
I'm hopeful. I'm optimistic, I'm ready to back the team against those swannies!!!!!! "Unoriginal thought" ??? Who cares!!!!!!

Not a bad side, I like BG and NR on the wings and Kosi to CHB.Sainter_Dad wrote:B: Baker, Hudghton, Birss

But Milne and McQualter are no good, Gram and Steven in for those two.

Time to sort out who can be part of the next st kidla premiership side, and who won't be
This mean no clarkes, no fiora, no l fisher, no king, no gwilt, no dempster, no schneider, no C gardiner etc. Jones and ferguson are pretty close to this list, with a couple of weeks of form keeping them in contention. Blake picked a good week to stay off this list.
Ferguson must be played out of the goal square. He is not a defender. We know this.
It's not the right time for Jack Steven, let him get VCE out of the way first. But Miles, Allen, McEvoy all need to be looked at in the next few weeks.
I don't think Kosi or Bakes will get up with their knees, and Gilbert needs at least a week at casey considering the length of his break, and his form pre-injury. I'd line up like this on saturday:
B: Geary, Hudghton, S. Fisher
HB: Goddard, Blake, Riewoldt
C: Gram, Ball, Montagna
HF: Jones, Allen, Dal Santo
F: Milne, Ferguson, Birss
Foll: M Gardiner, Harvey, Hayes
Int: Miles, McEvoy, McQualter, Armitage
Emerg: Who cares

and for bonus points guess the saint who will be suspended for an event that no one saw, no one complained about that has no footage.
and for double bonus points guess who Goodes belts and doesn't get reported for.
and for the 10% bonus points guess who Barry Halls snipes.
the winner of the competition gets the MRP process guidelines in imaginary ink.

I think that Harvey is still in doubt for the Swans game...but that King is right to play.
http://www.realfooty.com.au/news/news/p ... 47611.html
Koschitzke played out the match against the Western Bulldogs with his knee heavily strapped and will be monitored and tested before the Saints play Sydney at the SCG on Saturday night.
Harvey withdrew from Sunday's game because of the calf problem and while the club is hopeful he will miss only one week, he is also in doubt for the clash against Fremantle (((Note I think they mean Swans rather than Freo))). Ruckman Steven King, who withdrew because of back soreness, should play this week.
Xavier Clarke re-strained a hamstring playing for Casey in the VFL at the weekend and will miss at least two more matches.

I did not hear it.vacuous space wrote:RL seemed to indicate in his press conference that he expects Baker and Gilbert back in the next couple of weeks. From what he said, I wouldn't expect Harvey or King to have a prolonged time on the sidelines either.
But I always take team selection from RL with a big grain of salt now....unless he comes out and says something really firm and definate.
For example...even though reportedly Banger had a fitness test on sunday...I think it would have been known that he was going to miss froma lot earlier.,,,and there have been mant other examples including the Clarke "virus".
RL obviously likes to play games in this regard to keep the opposion guessing. I am not sure it really gains anything though.
Bakes was only meant to be out one game

I reckon King will play, and the question I have re Gilbo is would you rush him straight back in, given he's missed so many weeks?
I'd like to see Schneider dropped.....yes, we are playing Sydney, but he's played like a gutless squib too many times against too many teams.
He needs to taught a lesson and punished IMO.
I wonder if Milney should get the chop also, given his shyte interstate form???

give koz the week off....ffs, his injured and out of touch.
start ferg up in the goal square, f**k it.....what do we have to lose?
i mean really, come on, he cant go any worse than anyone else who has had a go up there this year.
granted he didnt have the kicking boot on a few weeks ago and kicked 4 points, but ffs no one else is doing any friggin better.
nothing to lose, everything to gain in my opinion.
but im sure RL will pluck something from his onion and make us all go, wtf?...does he actually know what he is doing.
