Closed Training Session Report
I bought my niece and nephew memberships (kids ones) today at the club, and there appeared to be a closed rehab session going on.
I took a little squiz, nothing too exciting to report, and given our guys kicked out a Channel 9 reporter (the little dweeb one!), I won't say what I saw.
Tough tiddlywinks Channel 9 - I was tempted to boot them out myself when I saw them in the carpark!!!

Let's hope they are twigging to the fact that another coach could get the bullet due to their "efforts". Maybe they should do something about it!! If they don't - then we get the message!!Buckets wrote:The question i have is how many bloody 'Bonding' sessions does the team need to actually function and play as a team dedicated to each other and willing to sacrifice all to get the glory??Behind Play wrote:Boys had a big Sunday night bonding.
I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.

Apparently, Caroline Wilson on FC last night, said that her sources at St Kilda have told her RL has not embracced the club.Mr Magic wrote:Lots of posts on here that the Coach and the Players don't see eye to eye.
Does anybody actually know this as a fact or is this just pure speculation that is like the 'boulder rolling down the hill' gathering momentum and soon becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy?
Once again though she has been wrong before.

Was that in 'defence' of RL 'bagging her question to him' on MMM before Sunday's game?Behind Play wrote:Apparently, Caroline Wilson on FC last night, said that her sources at St Kilda have told her RL has not embracced the club.Mr Magic wrote:Lots of posts on here that the Coach and the Players don't see eye to eye.

And a few Board Members, and the rest of the footy dept, and a few administrators, and .........Maybe some good will come out of it in that we are not only united, we are seen to be united !!Behind Play wrote:I hope the coach was bonding with them.yipper wrote:Let's hope they are twigging to the fact that another coach could get the bullet due to their "efforts". Incorrect. In fact she actually denied anyone from the club had told her that. Hutchy asked her point blank "has someone from the club told you hes not embracing their culture" she replied No.Behind Play wrote:Apparently, Caroline Wilson on FC last night, said that her sources at St Kilda have told her RL has not embracced the club.Mr Magic wrote:Lots of posts on here that the Coach and the Players don't see eye to eye.

Once again though she has been wrong before.
She then went fishing cause she looked stupid and went on to say what she HAD heard from a club source was that Lyon had some difficulties re-adjusting to Melb and footy microscope.
So from that and the fact Lyon has referenced Sydney (where he was an assistant in a GF) when questioned on footy topics Cr@po's come out with (insert drumroll) SAINTS COACH NOT EMBRACING CLUB CULTURE.
Gutter journo at best. Its why she ONLY deals in perception, politics and NEVER why Matthew Richardson was thrown out of a nightclub.
Disgrace.

Thanks for that link. I hadn't seen it.saintbrat wrote:Caro being questioned about her comments on Ross from FC

I think Ross is protesting too much too (and not just on Caro's remarks)
Interesting too that in this discussion on embracing teams that nobody has highlighted the recent SOS/Daicos kid episode where SOS was essentially promoting the Carlton Football Club.
Sorry I shouldn't be so cyncial . . . it was his wife and not SOS.

"No other clubs are allowed to be mentioned by anyone at St Kilda at all"
How pathetically insecure......
