Swans Tonight!!

Post: # 581706Post Goody »

If Ross Lyon is trying to bring a game plan, belief, guts and determination based on Sydneys game tonight, I want some of that.
What a gutsy win, OK the Eagles are not what they were but I reckon any team under the pump like the Swans at half time would have stuggled to get near them tonight.
If we can get some of the run like Goodes, Malcheski, Jack, and the likes we'd be a top 4 side like the Swans

Good game to watch.

Go Saints Tmmorow

Goody

Followed Saints since '71
Sir Robert Harvey was my favorite player
Stewie Lowe and Plugger before that.
Loved watching Rooey and Jack Steven
Now looking forward to the future

Some people make things happen, some people watch things happen, but most just say " What the f#&k happened!".

Apparantly Goodes was booked for high contact and could have a week or two on the sidelines ......

I posted this in another thread earlier tonight...

"Interestingly watching Sydney at present. The side with a virtual non household name midfield a side who many said were due for a ladder slide 2yrs ago.......still aint happened. ALSO amazing watching them kick big scores AND still be able to play a shut down game when required.....as a colleague commented to me recently "it just seems like Roos has their players playing with the ability to play 2 types of game style - attacking when needed and shut down when thats also required..."

It made me think.....geez thats got to take some time for players to get a head round doesnt it.......

And again its ALL above the shoulders."

It isnt Jacks, Malceski's etc we need....its ATTITUDE...Swans have it, Dogs and Nth have it........we're fragile with it BUT I still believe we have the coach to instill it (I can hear the doomsayers coming...)

Sydney played badly in the first three quarters.

You want a one quarter effort? How about our game against the dogs earlier in the year?

Thats the thing about Sydney, they never give up at all. An epic win by them. I can't remember the last time we won when we were 3-4 goals down.

funny thing is that if we were crap all game and pulled the game out of our arses in the final quarter against a team spanked by 100 points the week before and a bottom 3 team people would be wanting too sack the whole squad....

as was mentioned in the north melbourne thread, unlike most supporters we seem to hype up efforts from other teams and tear shreads off ours.
