completely with you on this Rog. Fiora is a waste of space in a St.Kilda jumper. Has had countless opportunities to prove himself and hasn't. Give Allen a go FFS. Fiora pffft.rogerwa wrote:cant believe fioras name mentioned.is lyon just a little bit slow on the uptake or just a fn fool
he if brings back the likes of fiora he can kiss his coaching career goodby

Assuming the inclusions are just emergencies this week, i'd say im happy that the team is unchanged. By that i mean that i have thanked the higher power above us that Armo and Geary keep getting opportunities as they are truly developing into potentially fundamental players in our list.
When driving down the Nepean two weeks back hearing on SEN that Armo was dropped i nearly had a panic attack that wouldve caused a 15 car pile-up during rush hour.

even if you dont intend to play them WHY name 3 players who are just not up to it & never will be
fiora,fisher ,guilt
trying to find a reason...maybe fiora to run with eagleton...fiora's had 8 yrs to do something..never has never will
maybe fisher hard body to block conney at the stopages...good luck
guilt...god knows
with these selections looks as if bloody gehrig & r.clarke will be back next week
thought we were trying to weed out our crap not promote them
SOFT selections

Never be up to what? Fisher looked every bit "up to it" when he used to be played in the position in which he should be played, and he has even made a reasonable fist of a tagging role in some games.rogerwa wrote:even if you dont intend to play them WHY name 3 players who are just not up to it & never will be

Fiora sometimes looks up to AFL standard, sometimes doesn't.
Gwilt has always looked at least to be on the fringe of AFL standard in almost every AFL game he has played: I really don't understand why he hasn't been given more of a go by Lyon.
Personally, I wouldn't be surprised to see Fiora get a game on Sunday, and I wouldn't disagree with it either: perhaps ahead of M Gardiner.
Geez some of you guys on here are quick to write players off. If you guys had been in charge at the club, we would have probably gotten rid of Robert Harvey after his first couple of seasons!!

I believe this will be their 4th game out each. They last played against Richmond in round 7.mad saint guy wrote:How many weeks missing is that for Xavier and Bakes?

Bakes did his knee against Richmond?mad saint guy wrote:How many weeks missing is that for Xavier and Bakes?
So that would make it now 5 weeks (4 games and the bye)
Did X do his hammy in the same game?
If so it seems a long time for a regular hammy, unless they are being ultra-conservative with him because of his history with repeat soft-tissue injuries?

i would love to see us trade fisher to essendon as we could get a 2nd rounder for him imo...meher baba wrote:Never be up to what? i dont eat my own however they need taggers/hard nuts and he could provide that
i struggle to see where he could really fit into our 22 however
he has looked out of sorts this year and his efforts were summed up with his half-arsed effort at spoiling against the lions at the gabba where maximus gave him a spray asking him 'if he had any balls'

its a shame really i know none of the "ins" will actually play i would of prefered the coach took the opertunity to reward one of the younger guys by getting their name read out on the footy show instead of the same old same old Fizz fish and gwilt

because ross lyon looks to the footy show to give his players boostsst_Trav_ofWA wrote:its a shame really i know none of the "ins" will actually play i would of prefered the coach took the opertunity to reward one of the younger guys by getting their name read out on the footy show instead of the same old same old Fizz fish and gwilt
because ross lyon thinks that putting a younger player in the lights of maingain or whatever its called in the age will be so beneficial to his football development
the longer our kids are under the radar the better
