Watching it was depressing as apart from Harves,Lenny and Ball we had too many not prepared as Ross said prepared to bleed for the jumper...
I too am sick of the sight of a select few trying their guts out to hold the team together

He can only coach with the cattle he has got. I'll judge him when he's had time to recruit his own kids, develop them etc. and play them.

It's not his fault he has so many hacks in the team... There will be a huge cull at the end of the year...

Fiora
Gwilt
Harvey
Gehrig
Ferguson
Rix
gee thats a massive cull out

2 of them played today, clearly aren't the problem

Not long after Lyon took the job he said he was impressed that the players were so professional and so coachable.

What's happened in 18 months?

I hear Ross pass the buck and publicly slag off the players again I'm going to be physically sick.

He selected this "mentally weak" team. He re-drafted two players I never want to see pull on the red white and black again.

It's HIS game plan that they continually fail to implement... supposedly. That doesn't get you off, Ross, an inability to get the players to do what you want them to do makes you just as bad a coach as you would be if you told them to go out there and kick it sideways and backwards, and anywhere but down the middle.

I'm not sure why people keep pointing at the players at the bottom of our list.

Ross can't get our A grade players to play anywhere near their best let alone those on the fringes.

The players he has brought into the team aren't performing either.

What on earth makes people think if Lyon was given a dozen top 10 picks he'd turn them into decent footballers?

finger needs to be put on certain senior players

Those who are carrying us currently are:

Roo
Hayes
Harvey
Max
Ball

I believe birss works hard enough and gets a pass mark and chips was just put in a hard position with the amount of ball coming down.

But the question needs to be asked, are these players working hard enough ,switched on during games and playing for the team.

Dal
joey
gram
BJ
Fiora
milne
schneider
dempster
fish
Kosi
blake

These players have been the major backbone of this team and have for a good 18 months (less for dempster and schneider) been consistantly playing at a lower level then is neede at the elite level.

I think we learnt alot about certain players in the past couple of weeks. The likes of schneider, milne, fiora, gram, dempster et al have all fallen to pieces when given important roles in the midfield.

I just cant believe some just ant the coach sacked - thats all they have? that their "fix" and that will scream "laughing stock" to the world once again as St Kilda lets players off thre hook and hangs out a coach not yet 1.5 yrs into his contract.

Amazing.....

Sorry Teffers.

Okay, you are in Year 9. You are going okay, just getting by, nothing spectacular but passing.

You get through to Year 10.

Suddenly your thought processes that you had been delivering on are turned around by a teacher who just can't get through to your class.

This teacher has come in and tried to teach you a new method that you just can't grasp.

A few really bright kids can get the hang of it, or are they just so clever they work their way around it.

Those crazy kids who have been around forever and alway performed way above average no matter what.

But that teacher's class average comes lower and lower, and while no-one can really figure why, the school principal tries to cover it up by sucking it into the overall averages for the last 105 years.

And that principal accepts it. Bcos he knows the parents are still gonna sign up next year cos they accept their kids being mediocre.

Nothing to do with the Saints, just thought I'd mention it....

Fascinating Iceman...cause performing at school has nothing to do with the individual actually putting in some EFFORT does it?

Nah...its ALL just the teachers..

How do some get out of bed each day... :?

maybe the coach can't extract the best from the players, or the players don't wanna (sub conciously) play for the coach

you can get all the players you want, but if you have ross teaching them, they aren't go to be any good.

the highlights reel of Ross's playing career would be about zero.

Why did Peter Rhode get the @rse at Footscray?

I never saw him turn the ball over.

Pathetic argument. Really, really hopeless.
