Robert Harvey to coach for the rest of the season

Post: # 573899Post saintguy »

The season is not over yet. The time is now. Robert Harvey should be appointed playing coach for the rest of the season. I think the players will play for him and play well. Imagine the game plan and style we will have with Harves at the helm. Lets face it, he is our next coach anyway, lets start him early.

Agreed. Lets go back to someone who knows the players and actually believes in the club rather than some hired goon. Tell Barks and co to find a cliff.

Not sure about Harvs or Hamill. More inclined to go with someone like Robbie Muir or Rod Owen.

Pretty sure that Harvey has stated he is not inerested in coaching and to be personally honest I don't even think he would be suited to it...
Lyon has got to go, I don't think anybody can deny that, if I were in charge I would bring in Aussie Jones and try and get Sheedy to the club like someone else said...
Hamill/Gehrig forward line coaches.
Rock should stick around, same with Silvagni...

ROBERT HARVEY A.K.A The Great Man, Banger, Harves, Ol' Man River...
384 games, 4 B&F's, 3 EJ Whitten Medals, St.Kilda Captain, 2 Time Brownlow Medalist, 8 Time All Australian, 2nd Highest Brownlow votes poller.... The greatest of ALL TIME!!

Yep get Aussie back has a great coaching record in the AFL. Hamill and G are also going to be good at coaching even if they dont want to be because we want them.

Just remeber what it did to doc when we got him back.

Didn't he have stroke and then got f***ked by the board and was sacked, i would be in tears if that happened to banger.

Don't think we'll sack him. I think Lyoness needs too change his support staff maybe? Might not work ,need to try something but.

SOS speaks like a halfwit, and seemed to have the football knowledge of a rat when he was special comments on CH10. Plus he was also the most overated player of all time therefore he should be sacked for this reason alone if nothing else....FB of the century hahahaha, pfffft

J.Barker- Failed miserably. Probably should be shown the door immediatly.

Gotta agree.

Barker, SOS, Rocky, all doing exceptional jobs.

All doing as well as Hamill, G and Aussie would do.

Cos they are teaching toughness and a loyalty between them.

Ross is doing very well as far as popularity goes and is blitzing with our ladder position. Hell we are the same ratio of games as last year and only slightly down on percentage - and what a ripper 2007 was for us.

Go Ross....

Cos we do accept mediocrity.

Cos we are Saints supporters.

Well lets just get ex saints back to coach like Geelong Hawthorn and Bulldogs have. Why not get Pecko back as well. He is doing well at Karingal.

How much sucess has Barker had coach at AFL level?
Have you seen the culture that Port Adelaide are trying to develop at the moment? they are doing their best to give it a family feel so that everybdoy plays for each other, I would love to have that sort of culture at St Kilda...
We have about 10 starting players who have come from other clubs as well as a coaching staff with no previous affiliation with the club...
We need to bring in people who will bleed for the club...

I'd prefer a coaching committee made up of all the special comments gentlemen on 7/10/Fox - they know their stuff.

It's also a truth universally acknowledged that a committee is far more effective as a decision making tool than the judgment of a single, often flawed individual.
