Fraser on Before the Game

Post: # 568546Post perfectionist »

First, Sam Lane is the only one who can ask a decent question. Second, looks like it's over. Third, I'm disappointed as I think the example of seeing it through would be important to younger players, and finally he shouldn't go out this way.

well G was dead set honest.

Couldn't disagree with anything he said, and if it is the end, thanks Fraze for the great effort for our club.

Always entertaining and always worth the effort to watch him play.

Also it was worth the punt to get him back this year even if it hasn't worked.

Lance or James??

There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

If it's the end, so be it.

Gotta have a huge amount of respect for the bloke in the manner he tried, and then tried again (after being dropped).

Can't doubt his effort - just his body is rooted.

Thanks Fraze - you have been an absolute legend at our club, one of our best full forwards and best characters also.

Cheers & good luck!

He looked a bit sad, poor guy. He's more than a bit shy, but actually quite an articulate speaker. We don't get to see it very often.

Coaching next for Fraze? Didn't GT say he'd make a great coach one day?

Great guy....and a great insight into a very nice all round human being.

A great pity that Malloy interupted a serious part of the interview...thus killing it...just to try and slip in some stpid pre-scripted joke he had thought up.

agreee on Sam lane - she was determined of cousre to try and get 'THE announcement'
disagree on the second-he DID not commit to retiring- knew coming intp the season it woul be tough and depended on his body holding up

I thought Fraser handled it very well- the coming back into AFL and the way it happened has given him much more media attention than he has ever wanted or looked for
the surprise was he was going onto BTG even before Friday nights performance- the second surprise was how well he handled it and how well he spoke- in quite a relaxed manner.

the other insight which I loved was ' I will help this team IN WHATEVER way I can'- even if not on the field- stick around Fraser.

Good to see him being honest and selfless regarding where he's at right now. Gotta admire him to at least have a crack this year, even though it hasn't really worked out. Frase will still be remembered as a champion of the club, irrespective of whether he retires now, or not.
