go pollute another thread not mine thanks!mischa wrote:Oh who f****** cares how big the crowd is I just care about smashing a side that lost (badly) to Carlscum!
P.S. are you coming for a drink at Livewire this week before the game???
i am Melbourne Skies - sometimes Blue Skies, Grey Skies, even Partly Cloudy Skies.
nope, they get scanned in to make the crowd number...SaintBot wrote:Every Medalion Club seat gets counted in the attendance at every match anyway don't they?Solar wrote:nearly as bad as having a huge selection of level 2 not turn up each week......plugger66 wrote:47,501 Ticketed game so hard to get more as people book tickets and decide not to go. At least those getting the "free" tickets on level three are members, more then can be said for the corperates on level 2.....
btw plugger66, by suggesting that because the level 3 tickets are free (even though they are not) then that is the reason for smaller crowds. If thats not a snide dig at the general public going to the football I'm not sure what is. In fact I think you have got so used to being sarcastic you can't see how you come across!

It wasnt and isnt power heating. It was to simply explain because people dont have to pay they mightnt turn up. I was just giving a reason why ticketed games get smaller crowds than non ticketed. Same happens at the G when they do that for AFL and MCC members on certain games but as you what I was thinking, I now think you are a . Please fill in the gap.Solar wrote:nope, they get scanned in to make the crowd number...SaintBot wrote:Every Medalion Club seat gets counted in the attendance at every match anyway don't they?Solar wrote:nearly as bad as having a huge selection of level 2 not turn up each week......plugger66 wrote:47,501 Ticketed game so hard to get more as people book tickets and decide not to go. So by your logic the reason why it happens at the G is because of AFL and MCC members but at the dome it's level three people not turning up. Have a look on friday night and tell me after where the most space is. My money is on level 2..... thats why they never get to the magic 50k.... theatre goers.....

Then refridgerated cooling why do ticketed games get less attendances than games that are non ticketed like saints and brisbane game as you would think your same theatre goers wouldnt turn up to those gfames as well.Solar wrote:cheers mate...... your all class.....plugger66 wrote:It wasnt and isnt power heating. yep, there is always more empty seats up on level 3 then level 2.... your right...... those with money can please themselves and the blame squarely lies on the general public who have bought their membership, got tickets on level three and not turn up................
your so bloody blinkered mate......
btw it's very pathetic to start each post in reply by trying to think of "witty" change of my nick...... it's something barks would do.....

How come nearly all our biggest crowds are non ticketed games which should be the lower crowds as they are not the so called blockbusters. Doesnt explain your theatre goers or do they only turn up to non ticketed games and usual you write something I never said. I know there will be more missing from the medallion and the other level 2 area but as I have said at least 3 times because it costs nothing to book a ticket some people may not turn up for whatever reason. But you continue to ignore that point and have your own agenda system. Sorry solar.Solar wrote:yep, there is always more empty seats up on level 3 then level 2.... your right...... those with money can please themselves and the blame squarely lies on the general public who have bought their membership, got tickets on level three and not turn up................

I hate to say, but I agree with plugger66...what he fails to mention is that there are truckloads more seats on Level 3 than Level 2 - it would have to have more than double the capacity of Level 2!
I think Solar is trying to say that the proportion of empty seats on Level 2 is much higher than the proportion of empty seats on Level 3, which appears to be the case.
Ticketed games suck - there are lots of scattered empty seats on Level 3, amounting perhaps to a few thousand throughout the whole level.
TD are obsessed with ticketed games, as they don't like all the negative PR from lockouts.
It's all about spinning, spinning, spinning at the end of the day, even if it means the game is "sold out" with a sub 50K attendance!
Surely there is nothing wrong with not having ticketed games - perhaps have the first 6 rows on Level 3 (all aisles) ticketed for the big games, but leave it open slather after that.

Well I'm Exhibit A.plugger66 wrote:47,501 Ticketed game so hard to get more as people book tickets and decide not to go. That is the problem of making seats at no cost.
Reserved 5 Level 3 members seats via Ticketmaster last week.
Now it only looks like 2 of us are definitely going.
So we will have 3 empty seats around us.
Very handy to store the thermos.
And a good buffer in case we are surrounded by toothless Filth.
But another reason why the attendance won't get past 46,000.
The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
They can even WATCH LIVE FOOTY!
