Well I may be wrong then, or at least the reports that I read...but the reports were that GT did not attend Casey games.
Still if you saw him there in his last couple of years then you did.

B4 ran this furthy in 2006 and I sat down and posted the analysis that in the 8 games GT disgustingly did not attend the Scorpion games (according to B4) we either had interstate games (including Tas games) the day before/ same day/ or day after or we clashed same afternoon in Melbourne.
I would hope all our coaching staff would attend todays match and they did. I would expect all AFL coaches and assistants to do the same. So why bring up GT (previous administration). Its irrelevant.
I can't be stuffed looking it up can some1 tell me where the pissants sorry i mean bullants are on the table are they a bottom 4 team who always get pumped?

I have mentioned about Fergs for about 3 years and have stated that he can play tall or small can play down back or up forward, but the responses I got in return was that ....
Fergs is lucky to be on our list....
over the past three years he has been mentioned (on this site) as a player likely to be dropped....
and a couple of posts directly blaming him for a loss last year....
Some on here really don't have a clue IMO
Fergs has talent, but has been unlucky with injuries at the wrong time...
Down back he plays a very good defensive game and can play on tall or the smalls.
Up forward it seems that he could be a hard person to match up against
I just hope he gets his chance and prove some doubters on here that he has the talent to play at the top level.
Don't wait for the light at the end of the tunnel to appear, run down there and light the bloody thing yourself!
I'd like to see Ferg in the team against Collingwood and played in the FORWARD line.He is very competitive. It's the best i've seen him play, hope he can string a few good ones together,in the ones.....
THE strained relationship between Victorian Football League and Australian Football League clubs is nearing crisis point, and the Casey Scorpions are not immune to the tension.
It is also common knowledge that Casey’s affiliation with St Kilda, which began in 2001, suffered under former Saints coach Grant Thomas.
Current St Kilda coach Ross Lyon refused to comment on the partnership when contacted by the News, after the tumultuous week his club has endured.
But Scorpions coach Peter Banfield defended the union, and believes the bond between the two teams has improved markedly this year.
“Grant had a different philosophy on how players should play in (the VFL) competition,â€

Yes you have indeed been a great supporter of his...as was St Mart (Big Mart?)
It is good to see him stringing some good games together.
It is also good to see him getting some games up forward..which is where I believe his early football was.

I was one who said he hasnt played forward for 5 years so he cannot in the seniors. He has this week and did great so hopefully in a higher comp, and he will obvouisly will this week, he will do a good job as he has tried so hard to come back from numerious injuries and he is a good guy but lets remember the seconds is called that for a reason.

Thanks.
So ....and this was only one game...but IMO he has shown similar tendencies and I have always thought of him as a player a bit like an earlier Saint in David Grant who is undersized and whose marking is key part of what he has to offer.
Ferg is 188 cm...so would be likely to struggle as a FF in the seniors...
He would seem to lack the running HFF skills.....so can he show enough to be our Scott Welsh (188) / Aaron Edwards (184) type of player??.
Hamill if you will was a bit like this too...though Hamill also had other strings to his bow with great offensive pressure and agression skills....and so did not have to rely on just his marking.
I think such a role represents his best chance of possibly making it in the seniors.

FERGUSSON may be our saviour! Or Greg HUTCHINSON for giving him the opportunity to show his wares up forward.
A goal kicking HFF who has great defensive pressure, can take a mark and is hard at it - is what we reallly lack. Charlie GARDINER has been good but hasn't really hurt the opposition on the score board. I would imagine he will take Riewoldt's lead up role while he is out.
Really FERGUSSON's can mark above his height and is fairly mobile and worthy at ground level. If he can step up into our forward line and put more pressure on GEHRIG etc it can only be good for the Saints.
SAINTS another day older another day closer to the Holy Grail!

Compared to Kosi Ferg is much closer to the ideal height of a FF.
But Ferg is no David Grant either. David Grant really was one of a kind.
Played on the ball in a Wizz Fizz cup match in Cairns or Darwin or somewhere a year or two back and racked up over 30 disposals in a game played in near monsoon conditions.
Given the conditions it was an acheivement not to get washed away but FErg did a good job and used the ball well.
NAB cup game I know, but still showed a lot of ability. I reckon he has exactly what we need in the role that CJ keeps getting a crack at (pressure forward).
