josh fraser injured

Post: # 564230Post Solar »

From the reports on the radio tonight josh frasher has done a medial and out for between 4-8 weeks. Huge loss for them, means they will be rucking with wood and bryan. I wuld back king and gardiner to win this massively. No excuses for the midfield.

I thought King was "no doubt" to play this game.

but you forgot to put that thru the "St Kilda injury report" translator

Schneider was "definately" gonna play the next week after he was a late withdrawal, and how many did he end up missing......

Well it depends what you want to go with......

*The last Saint's injury listing had him as missing.

*However the Saints head physio when interviewed later this week on SEN said that King would play against the Pies.

If King is out then a good game to give Benny Mac a run.

Wont happen though.

Just said on SEN that Fraser would miss a month.

I too heard that Kingy would be a definate starter v Collingwood. The question I would ask re Ben McEvoy;
Is he ready? !!

IMO he will play in the next game that either King or Gardiner are injured or rested.

Josh Fraser: ... a more recent report on SEN said that Fraser was walking around ok in the rooms after the match and his injury may not be as bad as first thought ... all-in-all its just media speculation though - we will find out more in the next few days I guess.

latest report is that it is a grade 1 pcl tear.

Will depend on a scan tomorrow but I would be still suprised if he got up for friday night. You would think he would miss 1-2 weeks.

Fraser wont be out for as long as the media is speculating
He looks fine, it wasnt a collision injury and obviously just over strained his last kick. Or more likely a planned strategy by malthouse not to tax his baby in the last quarter.

I had heard...but do not know...that he did it in the ruck against Simmonds where there was knee on knee contact (ie collision).

That was what Ch 9 slow mo-ed anyway...

but is he physically ready?

some people jump too quickly on this forum and just want to see certain players play/debut for a new face in the team...

Yeah that is a fair point.
I'll have to ask my mate about it.
as you may know im just going on what he says and hes's a pretty reliable source.

When i saw him he lookeed fairly filled unlike Cam Wood who is skin and bone so maybe if he just rucks against him.

Definitely not against Symmonds would have been D Cox.
He ran off the ground straight after slotting the pass to Fevola, so he was ok out on the wing where he gathered the ball and kicked it 50mts.
Dont really care how long he is out for as long as it is at least 1 week.

No I am mistaken about the name..not Simmonds...but was in the ruck at the Center Bounce.

Late in the day now and so I don't know if it was Charman or Cox.

I read today that Josh now believes he's less than a 50% chance of playing on Friday.

FWIW I hope he plays...injured, and Lenny gives him a bone crunching tackle!

big opportunity for us to go two games clear of the loss column...

now nullify their small forwards who could carve us up and we should do well

friday cannot come soon enough...2 weeks without footy in the winter months is far too long!
