Well up to now my only interest in this farce of a game was that we did not have any injuries.

They might be skilled (the ones that actually do play).
But what are they playing for ??
It isn't State of Origin.
It is some contrived meaningless exhibition game.
The criteria to play for Victoria isn't even based on where you were born !

Every coach is secretly (some like Matthews almost openly) hoping their players don't play.

So why would any of them put in 100% ?

It will be played as a friendly exhibition match.
Guarantee the tackle count will be down.
Gut running will be down.
Intensity will be down.

But yes there should be some speccies.
And some skillful goals.

I will watch it.
But why would the result mean anything to anyone ?

reputation, actually I wouldn't be surprised if he does play that he would get close to BOG because he wont be tagged.


Also I hope he doesn't so I can watch the match without being scared anther saints player would get hurt.

Shame...would have done Dal the world of good to remember what calibre of player he is. When his confidence is up he's one of the best in the league and thoroughly deserves the Big V based on last 2-3 seasons, if not strictly on his 2008 form.

"I spoke to Adam this morning and he's pretty keen to play. As I said all along to him if he's right he should play.

"For all younger players who haven't experienced it, State of Origin footy is a great experience.

"It will certainly be great for Ryan Griffen, it will be great for (fellow Bulldogs) Daniel Cross (and) Robert Murphy's desperate to play.

If the players have a fair dinkum crack, it may not be the once in a lifetime event the AFL has advertised it as.
