Dream Team/Vic Team St. Kilda Players
Just had a look at the squads for the match this weekend and saw that Dal Santo is the only Saints player selected to play in the match!! In other words, while Riewoldt's omission was forced, Hayes, Kosi, Montagna and Gram have all lost their spots.
I don't really care because I would just spend the whole game worried they would get injured, but it's a bit of a slap in the face to our club at the same time.
Does anybody agree?

Yeah Lenny is stiff been very good this year but if u look at the dream team squad it;s hard to kick some1 out.
Gotta remember lenny was fighting against the whole country Dal was fighting against 1 State,
In my opinion Dal is lucky to still be there and still may be cut.

Lenny's a Sydney boy not a vicWollongong_saint wrote:Even Kerr is in the team. Isn't he suspended? And Corey Enright......if he didn't play for Geelong he wouldn't have found a place in the team.
Lenny is a star and has been in much better form than Dal Santo and a number of other players on that list.
Bizzare.

The other two are not Vic's either. Don't ask me where they are from but they are listed on the Dream Team. And they're stolen Hayes' spot!!LENNY LEADS THE WAY wrote:Lenny's a Sydnet boy not a vicWollongong_saint wrote:Even Kerr is in the team. Isn't he suspended? Go for the Vics based on the fact that's where the saints are from bugger the dream team.Wollongong_saint wrote:The reason I'm annoyed is because I was going to barrack for the Dream Team being an honourable New South Welshman but now there are no Saints representing I have lost interest. Ho hum.

We don't have the most talented team and they're in poor form, but this game should be about representation from all clubs in my opinion, makes it interesting for everybody watching. Hasn't Trent Croad played two and a half games this year? He gets automatic selection because he happens to be playing for Hawthorn who are playing well.

I didnt rate Corey Enright before 2007 and i dont think i ever will, does a few good things but nothing to get excited about.
Is he actually in the starting team or in the squad? but if its the later then i dont think he will play.

It is as much a travesty that Lenny isn't in that Dal is!
And what about triple EJ Whitten Medallist Sir Robert Harvey

Lenny or Harvs should have got a spot. Lenny has been great this year. Harvs started slow, but he is a champion and last 2 weeks have been solid. Even if it is for sentimental reasons, Harvs should have atleast been playing.

Good news - none of our players have made it in the Hall of Fame game, no need to worry about injuries and we are in 5th spot.
Bad news - possible that our out of form players will not improve and continue to get games ahead of the kids and see us plummet down the slippery slope.
Disappointing given our players lacking form that we have not got a contender for the Rising Star like other clubs seem to have, ie Cyril Rioli, Woenamirri? Kieren Jack, Gamble etc
PLAY KIDS!!!!

They stated before the start of the year suspended players could play so I dont think it is desperation. It was already approved.snippa wrote:Wollongong_saint wrote:Even Kerr is in the team. Isn't he suspended? quote]
The AFL have given him an exemption to play. I like Danny Kerr, but this is wrong.
Reeks of desperation from the AFL to encourage interest in a flawed concept.

Doesn't not make it a stupid rule though. Ughh. Oh well at least now there is absolutely NO EXPECTATION from the football world on our players or club to perfom.......we seem to play better when we don't have that sort of pressure.plugger66 wrote:snippa wrote:They stated before the start of the year suspended players could play so I dont think it is desperation.
