Last game at Moorabbin
I know this is a really random question, but does anyone have any pictures from the last game at moorabbin inparticular the banner.
See my health teacher caved in and let us do a project on our favourite sporting team and of course i choose the saints and i think the last game at moorabbin is really crucial to this.
I would be happy if anyone could PM any to me, but i think it would be better to just post them in this thread for the enjoyment of others.
Thanks very much
Ed.

Yeah was fitzroy as my dad was there (being a fitzroy man ) he said the emotion from some of the saints fans replicated that of fitzroy's last melbourne game.

Yeah I agree with that, there was almost mourning type of thing going on that day.
I still get all nostalgic when I venture down to the moorabbin. A hole of a ground with great memories and heritage.

was my first ever game live and I remember the roar when we kicked the winner. Was a great insight to how it would have been like to watch the game at moorabin, lots of fans all standing together tightly watching their team go around. Very different to the confines of TD these days

Yep. Sterile comes to mind these days. There could be a atmosphere at morrabbin in those days that was unbelievable. My grandparents lived 5kms from the ground and on a quiet day with the wind blowing right, they could stand in the back yard and hear the roar of the crowd for a moment.
Dosent get within a bulls roar of that at the dome. Almost theatre like sometimes.

Didn't Finne write that banner ?
I was there.
Very emotional day.
I remember getting there at half time in the reserves and walking a lap of the ground, remembering all the places I used to watch from as a kid before settling in to The Animal Pit.
I still have a "challis" full of gravel I excavated from the animal pit after the game.

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
They can even WATCH LIVE FOOTY!

I was in the animal enclosure on that day too - everyone jostling for one last game standing in "their spot". I was prepared with a knife and container so I could take home a piece of Moorabbin turf. While I was hacking away in the middle a suited man tapped me on the shoulder and I thought I was in deep strife. Turned out he just wanted a piece for himself!

5 prelims in 7 years. 40 wins from 49 games.
2009 and 2010 were 2 of the 5 best years ever by the St.Kilda FC.
Thanks for all your efforts Saints.
