From MMM

Goose - ankle was iced up after the game

Bakes - knock on his knee- covered in a compression bandage and should be ok

X - hamstring

Roo - on crutches after teh game (maybe precautionary) - initial diagnosis is medial ligament - will need to scan to see degree of damage.

Lets hope that Max's is only a twinge.

Unfortunately from the replay X's looks like a full blown hammy. Say with the bye a minimum of 2 ... :(

Mentioned Goose on Triple M last night going off with an ankle/foot injury. Have listened to the injury wraps on tv and radio this morning and the only injuries which have been given more than a passing mention have been Riewoldt and X Clarke.

Dal Santo was discussed on Triple M this afternoon re carrying a shoulder injury and being in the rooms for the three quarter time break yet last night I'm sure they said it was due to a problem with his eye.

Lyons on the radio said Goose has injured his good foot.
we now have an extensive injury list, nothing new.
Thank god for the break.

Lyon on AW talked about carnage from last nights game and said Riewoldt would out for between 3-8 weeks,
Goose had serious injury to good foot and would be out for several weeks,
X hammy
Baker - knee injury but didn't say whether he would miss any weeks
Dempster - said he was only 80% but also didn't say whether he would miss any weeks

Nick D 'did' the shoulder two weeks ago and although the Richmond players sought to whack him every time on it, didn't inconvenience him too much - easy to say from the stands I know.

Luke Ball is "inconvenienced " to say the least with his groin. I note that Simon Black now has the same problem and will miss weeks (hopefully three). It seems endemic among elite MFs these days, although the Pussies seem to have missed it.

If we don't finish up with 4 out injured, not including Max, I will be very surprised.

Gee...I'm glad we've got a top line fitness director.

We've had just as many soft tissue injuries this season as any other.
Gardiner, Schneider, Dempster, Hudghton, Gehrig, King and now Clarke.
Have I missed any?

Knee injury could sideline Riewoldt
May 4, 2008 - 3:18PM

St Kilda coach Ross Lyon says captain Nick Riewoldt could be missing for up to eight weeks with a knee injury.

Key defender Matt Maguire is also set for a significant stint on the sidelines after injuring his foot during Saturday night's three-point win over Richmond at Telstra Dome.

hopefully after scans and stuff tomorrow, they will determine that roo's injury isnt as bad as everyone thinks- though that could be wishful thinking.

shame about maguire as well though, as, amongst other reasons, he is currently sitting on 99 games- so considering injury has determined most of his career, it must be a blow for him to not be able to reach the big 100 just yet.

Goose was not yet back in good form...so his loss is not a major one.

Roo is...and X while not a big stats earner has on the whole been adding a bit of pace and bite.

Hopefully Max can be back by the Pies game...though the Lions game the week after with Bradshaw and Brown to cover is when we will really need him.
