Player Sponsor Dinner
Went to the Player Sponsor Night last night with my 17yo daughter, not knowing what to expect.
When we arrived we were introduced to Sam Gilbert and we were seated next to him. Jarryn Geary was also at our table, so got to talk with both our sponsored players.
They were both really friendly young guys who were quite happy to answer any and all questions we put to them.
Took some photos at the end of the night and the players who were still there were more than happy to pose. Will post some pics later (my daughter took camera to school with her).
We both ended up having a great night, and I will be keeping fingers crossed I win raffle again next year.

Yes I spoke to him about his shoulder, he said it is still causing a bit of pain, but he said he has started daily physio to help speed up recovery time.
I thought it was really sweet as he had Geary helping him butter his roll and the kitchen staff brought out his meal already cut up.
He said he just cant wait for it to heal so he can get out there and play footy again. He said he isnt able to do much training except for bike riding at the moment.

I went with saintvic and thought i'd elaborate on a few things!
Both Ball and Dal Santo were interviewed in front of everyone in between meals, and said that they are both very confident about this week but believe we have a lot of work to do. Dal also recognised that he is not in his best form and was dissapointed and now wasnt confident of making the vic team next week.
We also got to watch two highlight videos as well, which were quite entertaining, especially seeing the players reactions to them.
I agree, Gilbert was a really nice guy, as was Geary, they seemed really down to earth. Gilbert also said that he thought he was around 6 weeks away, which we all already knew. He also seemed confident that we would bounce back from last week, and that the other players were also confident.
We also got to talk to Kossi, and he seemed like such a nice guy as well. Seriously, everyone we met on the night was really nice and happy to talk, take pictures and answer questions.
Will post pictures soon

Sorry, I'll just answer for my mum We did meet the other SS winners as Geary was also on our table. Sam seemed alright with autographing though there wasn't much of that going on, and I only saw him signing once.saintbrat wrote:glad you had a good evening saintvic- did you meet the other SS winners?

last year it was one per player- there was so much interest they thought they would try 3 per player I think
I guess it's hard to know which way to go?
there are actually 57 sponsors
I wonder if they took the- fill all players then go back for seconds if interest enough,
but then some are more willing to spend more on the leadership group; who knows.
