Luke Ball nominated for Army Courage Award

Post: # 553100Post markinUSA »

This week, Luke Ball has been nominated for the Army Courage Award on the AFL website. You can vote for him right now on the following website:

http://www.afl.com.au/Competitions/Army/army_vote.html

Luke is nominated for getting the ball, handballing, and shepherding in one set of play.

He is up against a wonderful tackle by Geelong's Darren Milbourne on Adam Goodes from Sydney, and also Adam Thomson from Port Adelaide who did a good smother and then goaled.

I'm not sure if these votes willl count but I disabled cookies in my browser and it enables me to vote as many times as I liked, I spent a good 5 minutes voting and I reckon it would have been 200+ votes, if anyone has any spare time it could be worth doing.

I wouldn't have thought that it would work however when you vote twice with cookies it says, "sorry you have already voted", however when you turn them off every time you vote it says, "thanks for your vote"

I agree...That was one of the most courageous acts I have seen. he copped the full force of Lovett-Murray's knee in his head. It forced him from the ground.

Most post like that, even though it may not seem like it they don't seem to allow for multiple votes.

In many cases it allows you to try and keep voting, but the end tally is based on something similar to one IP per vote. It would be a major fault in their system if the simple act of disabling cookies would allow hundreds of votes by the same person.

Then again, the AFL aren't well known for having the best and standard compliant sites so it just may be possible they've let it slip through the gaps.

Well Luke Ball won it for the week with 39%, perhaps we should keep it on the down low just to be safe...
